You could give him a small very low carb snack at 8PM which I think would be +9, but the majority of his dinner should be after PMPS.

Good luck with the car - sounds like it's been one of THOSE kind of day. :shock:

i would also move the food times so they are in relation to the shot times, just like they were before. so if the shot is 2 hrs off schedule, the food schedule would be too. i think wendy's idea of a snack to make up for the insulin of a late dinner is good. :lol:

Will feed Rocky his dinner and give him his evening shot at 11PM tonight. My poor boy.. he is crying in his room right now. He can't figure out why dinner is SO late tonight. Thank goodness it's only about one hour and fifteen minutes until then.

Wendy, it WAS one of those days. My goodness. My DH didn't get me to my broken down car until around 4PM. We jumped my car but it BARELY made it back to the gas station where the new (and apparently defective) alternator had been installed on 2/13. So, get this, as we are jumping my 2003 Ford Focus, the wife of our REGULAR auto repair guy just HAPPENED to drive down this residential street we're on, and she stops when she sees us!! :oops: Can you believe that?! We felt a little embarrassed because we did not take it to her husband for the original repair. We had to explain the reason why, it was because my car stopped working at the gas station where it was fixed and we didn't want to pay a tow fee to her husband's shop since we had forgot to renew our AAA.

Anyway, she said that they would pay for the tow if it turns out that something is still wrong with it. We won't know anything until Monday though because the mechanic at the gas station was sick today. All just a comedy (I guess?) of errors.. We are not getting our money back. They probably put some crappy after market alternator in my car. The wife of the mechanic told us with alternators you always want to use the factory one from the car maker. Great. Just great.

Well, it looks like for sure tomorrow I will doing oddles and boodles of laundry with my new washer and dryer. At least they are working fine. :lol:

You should sit Rocky down and have a serious discussion with him over his choices for when he decides to go low...Maybe next time he'll do it closer to nadir so he can have his regularly scheduled meals at their regularly scheduled times...Unfortunately, our kitties hardly ever listen to us when we're having serious discussions with them :lol:

OH MY GOD CHRIS!!! That just cracks me up!! LAUGHING OUT LOUD!!

Thinking of renting "Gravity" tonight on cable. Isn't that a long-ass movie? That way, if Rocky decides to go wonky on me after his evening shot at least I will have something to keep me awake.. barely.
 
I know I should be happy, but once Rocky slides into those blues it's usually like a very quick leap into those too low of green fields. In about 45 minutes, I'm going to need to start testing him every 1/2 hour to make sure that I intervene if he starts to revisit lows again.

I am willing to shoot a high green number today, but I know it means constant monitoring and helping to bring Rocky's BG back to an acceptable number should he go too low.

I am soooo freakin' tired. I need so much more sleep. I've got a sore throat. I-)

OK BTB to rest for at least 1/2 hour before more fun, fun, fun starts. ohmygod_smile
