Yesterday.

Ripley enjoyed a green surf last night!

This morning she's perky, snacking on her food (Wellness Chicken that I had opened last night, but then put in the fridge ~ I didn't warm it this morning, and she seems to be sort of liking it. "Like" might be too strong of a word.).

I wish everyone great Friday.
Sending vines to those who need them!

Re: 3/1 Ripley AMPS 167

Hi guys, what a nice solid blue to start the day at! Maybe some greens later on ripley? Have a great weekend guys!

Re: 3/1 Ripley AMPS 167

Hi Josie. Not a bad start of the day for Ripley this morning. Let's keep our fingers crossed that she has her surfing suit with her and makes it to the Lagoon again.

PurrFace is the only one of our cats that will eat the food if it was in the fridge. He's not crazy about it but when he's hungry his pickiness is at a low level.

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Ripley! Oh bootiful numbers for a bootiful girl! KT's wearin' pink, he looks funny - I tell him it's a girl's color but he just keeps jumping into those pink pj's....

HUGS Josie! Stay warm too!

Thanks, all, for visiting!

She surfed the blues today. She also got some basking time this afternoon, as we are having amazingly beautiful weather.

Tonight's dinner is AVO 95% Chicken/Turkey, less popular than the Wellness Chicken from this morning. Still looking for a Ripley-approved flavor. So far, she really digs the Cowboy Cookout, but too much makes her vomit.
The 'others,' a civie cat and dog are very interested in her food, but she squawks at them when they're too close and she dives into her food and pretends to love eating it (just to show them) .
Ripley's running the show and she knows it.

I hope everyone's having a great evening!

Hi Josie, I hear ya on the food. I was thinking of trying the Avo Chicken & Turkey. Is there also an Evo? I'm in the same place as you with needing lower phosphorus. Right now Mags has been eating Friskies Special Diet Turkey & Giblets and semi liking it. She was eating some of the Prescription, which has the lowest phosphorus, but the taste leaves a lot to be desired. She dislikes refrigerated and warmed up food, so the garbage disposal gets a workout. I wish I could recycle the food she doesn't eat. :?
Thanks for stopping by our condo today. I know Ripley sometimes has constipation but sounds like you have it under control. What all are you giving Ripley, besides the Miralax, to keep her regular.

Hi, Ann. Here's the website for Evo cat food. It's phos. level is pretty low according to Dr. Lisa's chart (as are the carbs).

I hear you on the wasting food. Ripley will like a food for a while, then all of a sudden not. She's such a cat sometimes!

To keep Rip regular, I've been adding 1/4t. Miralax to each of her 2 meals, plus about 1T baby food squash (Beechnut), about 1/8t. Slippery Elm Bark powder (info from Tanya's site here), and sometimes 1T canned pumpkin. Sometimes I even add a little Miralax to the squash/pumpkin just for extra help. Oh, and I add 5-6T. water to her food. She's basically eating food that looks like a milkshake. I'm adding phosphorus binder, too, which can cause constipation, hence the extra additions. (Marje helped me with suggestions and amounts.)

So far, so good (anti-jinx!).

Nice day for Miss Ripley...I hope you find that magical perfect food for her soon! Have you tried "blending" foods? For Trix, I give her a mix of Fancy Feast and Purina One...with the Purina, I alternate between the chicken pate and the turkey pate. It seems to keep her interested, and keeps her numbers pretty stable. She loved the Wellness chicken, but it made her numbers go bonkers, and she won't look at the Evo....

Anyway...maybe a blend - Cowboy Cookout on top of one of the other fuds - would satisfy Ripley??? Just a thought. Have a great night!!!

I'm glad she enjoys her food with all that stuff in it :-D

Sorry I didn't get back to you on your question the other night but, yes, Gus's poos are pretty stinky. I don't know if it is the squash or other meds he takes. But whhhooooeeeeeee

Miss Ripley! You're doing so much better!
