AMPS +3 = 101

Maki seems to be having very hard, pellet-like stools? I have noted several folks have Miralax listed in their signatures. Does insulin cause constipation? Should I start adding Miralax to Maki's food ASAP?

Not necessarily from insulin, but a lot of kitties have comorbidities like chronic kidney disease (CKD) which can cause some constipation. If Maki is constipated for more than a few days, you may want to have him seen by your vet to make sure he does not to be "unstuck," and get dosing for Miralax, or a different laxative.

Thank you, both. I shall read all about it. Can't imagine the fun I am in for with miralax and the Kitty. She is still pooping just hard pellets which is not like her. She is drinking significantly less than prior to dx.
 
I add extra water to butters’s food to make sure she stays hydrated. She is not a water drinker at all but is fine with eating soupy food!
