Maggie's having a good day and eating well. After I got her some new flavors of LC FF yesterday, she now wants the Savory Salmon FF she would not eat previously when offered! confused_cat That's a cat, huh! What do we know?

Just wanted to say hi since I've not posted to you yet. Those are some nice looking numbers, I bet you will see some greens tonight. It would be great for you to get some after PM checks and see the green. It is a real morale booster to be able to add more green to your SS. I began to love testing (after hating it at first) just to be able to add GREEN! Ok, that's probably shallow of me, haha! But seriously you are getting great numbers as you are decreasing. Love it.

Forgive me because I've been away on vacation (....sigh, back to the real world...), but is there a reason that Maggie is still getting dry food? The way to OTJ is not paved with dry food. You probably have heard this a lot so I wondered if there is a particular reason she still gets some dry food, and I wanted to understand so I won't put my foot in my mouth.

Hi Ronnie,
How are you and Luna? Yes, I can get a +3. I would love to see some greens, too. Yes, I did shoor but forgot to mark it, thanks!

Hi CD and BigMac, and thank you for stopping by and looking at my condo. I'm stll a newbie and learning a lot from all of you. Oh, well now with the dry. I've been told by Ronnie, I think, and others here that giving her dry food, even it it is DM Purina, will up her glucose. There were a couple times she just was so picky with the FF that I put some dry in a bowl, and she scarfed it down. I didn't put much in her bowl, but evidently she misses the dry. She hasn't had any since I noted it last, and her numbers are looking good. That's okay; you won't put your foot in your mouth. I need reminders of what not to do when it helps Maggie. She seems to be doing really well on the half unit Lantus, but I know I'm missing some greens by not checking at night, so I think I will try to catch some tonight. She flinches when I give her the prick on the ear, so I think I was trying to give her a break after the last shot. I bought some neosporine for her ear. Take care.

Hi,
Well, not much change at +3=165. confused_cat She did have some FF; Maggie is so cute. All I have to do is talk to her and tell her it's time for her Gerber baby food treat, and she jumps onto the sofa waiting patiently for the ear prick. Her ear gets cold in the evening, so until I get it warmed for the prick, she's waiting patiently but still flinches at the prick

Aww, you are doing really well. For my kitty I used the Neosporin ointment with pain relief and psychologically it probably helped me more than BigMac. Sometimes he'd flinch, but kitty ears are always flipping and twitching so after a while I was able to ignore the flinch as insignificant. I realized he didn't mind as much as I thought he did. Just like Maggie, he loved the special treat he got afterward and would put up with most anything to get it.

You have learned so much in a short time, you are doing just fine and so is Maggie. Keep it up! Glad she likes the FF, it's good for her. :-D

Thanks CD. That means so much. You and everyone here have been so helpful. I did buy some Neosporin yesterday and placed a little on her ear. She acted like it was feeling better; prob. just my imagination, he, he! That's the magic, that special treat; baby food Gerber veal or chicken for Maggie girl.
