Is there no food he will eat? How is his diarrhea? Did he eat okay yesterday - later in the day and night?

ETA: Pls take off the 911 now? Thanks!

I haven’t tried the high carb food, but he just ate a little bit of YAZ he ate some churu and a little freeze dried chicken . He ate yesterday with coaxing but not like he always does . He had diarrhea at noon yesterday and nothing since .

So no diarrhea since noon yesterday? You want to start him on the S. Boulardii nevertheless.
If he has eaten a little, give him his shot and try and feed him again at +1 and get a test at +2? If his numbers drop and he doesn't eat, you can always try high carb food or apply honey/syrup on his lips for him to lick off.

Ok I don’t know what I’m going to do if he doesn’t eat that young again food anymore. Because you can’t get Dr. Elsie’s here anymore in Canada I don’t think, I’ve tried everywhere. So I don’t know what I’m going to do if he doesn’t eat that anymore.

Do I have any suggestions as to what I can feed him if he doesn’t eat the YAZ ? What do I do if he only will eat higher carb dry ? Believe me, I’m trying everything to get him to eat wet and it’s just not working. I’m getting so frustrated.

I get how frustrating it can be. I struggled to get Bandit off dry food and on to wet, but I never succeeded. For the first 2 years of diabetes, she would eat low carb dry (which I got all the way from the US), but then she completely went off it and would eat only high carb dry food. I could never get her BG regulated because of that. :(

Hopefully this a temporary thing with Bailie. Try giving him the S. Boulardii and see if that helps his diarrhea. Maybe he just has a bit of a tummy upset that is affecting his appetite.

Cats will also eat less in lower numbers. They are ravenous in higher numbers, but will be much less so below 200.

Ok THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE for me one more question Do you know the dose of the S.bourlardii I give him ? He is about 7.3kgs so bandit is not regulated? Is bandit the one that had the neuropathy.

I just tested at +2 and he is 68 .Bailie had diarrhea this morning again

Please start with one-half of a 250mg capsule (5 billion CFU) twice daily.

Yes, she never got regulated or stopped bouncing, but the neuropathy resolved around 8-9 months after diagnosis. This is her SS from 2019-2020:

Yes I will be.

Is this after food or at the sight of food? Do you have any Ondansetron?
No I don’t know what that is but when should I test again ? At +4 ? I have got to go to a funeral at 2:00 I hope everything will be good by then

It is anti-nausea medication. If he continues to lick his lips at the sight of food and not eat any food, you want to take him to the vet (tomorrow if you are busy today).

Yes. At +4.

This will be how long after the shot? +8?
Yes +8 oh no I’m having a problem with my internet it seems
