2Week OTJ Trial

So today marks the day of Diesels 2 week trail without his insulin! I wasn’t able to update his SS was having trouble with sheets...but his evening shot was 80!

I have just noticed Diesels appetite increasing more. He acts like he’s always hungry and possible weight lose. It may just may be me worrying but I feel like he’s more bony than normal.

True good call out. he had bloodwork done like 2 months ago but should he get more bloodwork done to check?

Also since it’s been 2 weeks now? Do I still keep testing twice a day?

On BG testing, it's up to you. I'd suggest doing at least 1 check a day for a month to make sure the remission is holding. I think some members go to once a week testing after a while.

Re the blood tests, I think the thyroid tests need to be ordered over and above a standard blood panel (that's what my vet has to do). If you give your vet a shout they should be able to check Diesel's most recent results to see whether they included thyroid function and they'd also be able to advise you on whether more tests are needed now.
