Hi there, I’ve been using 1.5 unit of Lantus twice a day for my 14 year old cat Dylan for months. Everything has been fine - his numbers drop down to a healthy level and then start to climb again usually around 15-18 hours after his first Lantus shot (not the typical 12 hour shots since when I test him it’s still too low at that time). I test Dylan a lot just to get a good sense of what’s happening. Well it’s been two days and his blood glucose is not going down! I don’t know what to do. He’s starting to drink a lot of water again and use the litter more often after months of everything being perfect!

September 28: AMPS 419 PMPS: 360
September 29: AMPS 459

And sorry I should mention that today’s reading of 459 isn’t even the 12 hour mark it’s only been 7 hours since I gave the insulin and it’s already higher than it was when I gave the insulin!
