You did see some yellows last night with this new dose so, that's an improvement. Give the new dose time to work itself out, would be my thoughts.
As far as insulin resistance, I have no experience with it. I'm sure others on the board do. Hopefully they will offer their thoughts.

I think you just held onto that 2.75 dose for too long and got some glucose toxicity maybe...you had some nice blues on the 2.5 dose for a day.
I don't think they suspect insulin resistance -like IAA or another condition until the cat reaches much higher doses with little improvement ( like 6.5 to 7 units...)
