A blue day so far...hmmm...we'll see what she does tonight.

And yes, I'm disappointed! Go green now, Girlie - come on! :D

Still, as I'll be going away in 3 weeks, it might not be so bad that she's going up a bit: but just one cycle so far, so we'll see where she goes...

Hi Darrah, hope you are feeling better. Sitting down to do one year of taxes is enough for me . Glad to see Girlie is doing so well on Levemir :)
The US taxes are easy for me because I don't have any deductions (yes, I have to file them every year even though I live in Australia - but if I earn over a certain amount, then I have to pay double taxes: in the US and Australia (very unfair, but I've never earned over the exclusion amount, thank goodness!). The Australian ones are more challenging because I have lots of deductions for my home office and have to add them all up...still, it's worth it!

Girlie is having a completely blue day today, but on the whole, life changed when we switched to Levmir: I love it, even with the late(ish) onset. I don't think she ever settled down on Lantus.

All blue today - and higher blues. I was giving her the 1% wet food. I switched to her 6% food for the PMPS as I'd have had to throw the rest of the can away tomorrow. And look at what she did:
  • PMPS: 169
  • +2.5= 72
What's she doing? Could she really need something like a 6% food to get better numbers? Or were today's blue numbers an anomaly and now she's back to business? I'm confused...

Girlie's SS is looking great!

I don't think there's really a way to have a clear answer to your question. Some cat do better in a slightly higher carb diet. It could also be a combination of the switch to Lev and a higher carb food. Or, as you noted, what you're seeing is a temporary blip.

Of course, Girlie may just want to keep you on your toes.
