~O) ~O) Morning LL (that means I've already had 2 cups of coffee this morning to get me going ;-)

While not in the green I suppose at least it's low blue.

I am not sure what could be causing Errol's #'s to have gone up - the diet is more or less the same. Perhaps I just need to work more aggressively on getting him to lose some weight? Or try feeding more than 4 small meals / day? Or perhaps it just took longer for the depot to become depleted? Should I test him a bit more frequently than AMBG and PMBG perhaps?
Any suggestions gratefully received!

Have a lovely Saturday Cat Guardians and Kitties - wherever you may be :YMPEACE:

Happy Day 5!

That 110 is still within the normal range and he came down when you tested again. I think he's looking good and wouldn't worry. Some cats are just naturally at the high end of the normal range.

WOO HOO DAY 5!!!!

I agree with Carla. The numbers look great still and we have seen other kitties on trial go low blue and that's just fine :-D :-D

Thank you Carla, Kim, Anne and Julie

I'm feeling happy again 'cos he is lower this pm. I'm also feeling more confident about getting him to lose weight. I realise I have been feeding the couch potato too much  and after reading Dr Pierson's website from top to bottom (will have to do that a few times to remember it) I now know why the diet food didn't cause him to lose weight

exercise also helps a kitty's cells be more receptive to insulin, whether it's the natural insulin from the pancreas or the injected insulin. if you can get him moving that will help both his blood sugar and help him lose weight.

Thanks Rachel, Julie and Katie

Julie, when he grew up he stopped being playful, not that he ever really was as a kitten even. He's always been very serious and staid. A play session almost always ends up with him climbing onto my lap and stretching up for kisses and cuddles and I give in. I definitely have to work on that one
