28/04 Hercules Is it time to increase again? and to what?

Thanks Katherine! I am considering going to 0.3125 units! Maybe I can start a new fashion? (since 3 decimals dose is already soo last week! ;):D)

I wonder if Hercules would benefit from a little bit higher carbs. Instead of 2%, maybe something in the 6-8% range? That way you could give a bit more insulin without him bottoming out so much.
 
Hi Wendy, did try that on the 11th of march. He went exclusevile with a 7% food for a week. He was also on a very low dose, so I decided the experiment didn't work. Then on the 26th, when I upped his dose to 0.5, he mostly had 7%. However, when he was bouncing, I hgave him 2%. He still went lime green. I currently tried to introduce 10% when it looks he is going to dive, but since I reduced his dose he has stayed quite high, so i reversed back to 2% most of the time.

I was thinking that perhaps I should try to go back up to 0.375 and up his % carb, but i don't think 6% would be enough.... Is giving 10% too high?
 
I have seen one person's cat do well on 12% (a/d), but I think you could always try 10%. It's still technically LC.
 
Thanks wendy. I increased his dose, and would feed him the 9% food ( just rechecked the chart).

So to double check, I should keep on the 9% food no matter what the BG reading is. Is that correct?
