27/4 Mauer AMPS 128, +1 140, +3 139, +5 149, +8 153, PMPS 202, +1 178

The values provided are DMB, so you’d have to convert them to ME to know the percentage of carbs within the total amount of calories. There’s a calculator somewhere around here for that but I seem to lack the patience for these calculations.

Well, never mind then :p:D
I'm not good with numbers. At all.

Here's the condo where Marje describes how to calculate percentage of calories from DMB and As Fed Values provided by pet food companies. It takes some time but if there's a particular food Mauer likes and you're wondering about the carb percentage, it's worth the fiddling. :)

Do you use calipers for dosing? Wondering if bad printing on syringes could be the cause of the fluctuation in numbers?

Or maybe she needs a little dosecrease nudge? ;)

It took some extra fiddling but I took those calculations and turned it into a calculator on a separate tab on my s/s.

Have a great (very non-yellow) day from the sky-high morning pink zone!

I actually just got calipers. But again, me and numbers :rolleyes:
After her day yesterday there's no way I'm increasing  she had one of these flat days before yesterday too... maybe it's a warning!

maybe it's a warning!
You mean it might be a high before the low? Be nice there now, Mauer.

Calipers are great. I don't know how I did dosing before them. Once you know what measurement 1 unit is on your syringe, the rest is really easy. If you want .25 units or .75 units or 2.875 units, multiply the 1 unit measurement by that. Thank goodness for calculators. :p The hardest part for my middle aged eyes is seeing things with a magnifier.

0.1 mmol she would have stayed blue!!!!
I want to cry...
If she's going to plummet tomorrow I'm gonna try with ice cream.
I've had two!!!! migraines today. Went for new blood work today, pulse still high but under 100. And then I found out something interesting...... my long-term bloodglucose is 37. If it reaches 42 I'm pre-diabetic. In the US that number would be 39.....
Life is bullshitting me, I have enough diabetes in my life!

Told my mom, she checked hers. It was 37 in 2019, mine has been climbing slowly. She invited to a semi healthy dinner.
Two hours later for an ice cream on McDonald's :banghead:
We've been playing with Mauer's old meter. She once made 204, or 11.4 mmol. I wouldn't be surprised if she's already pre-diabetic...

Enough self-pity for today!!!! Tomorrow Mauer will kick some butt!!!!!:cool:

You do know that often corn syrup (aka karo in the US) is often added to ice cream to prevent crystals forming.

No I didn't! What a shame!!! I loooooove crystals in ice cream. The crunch, YUM!
I sometimes accidentally leave the ice cream out a bit, just to get some crystals
But I haven't tried syrup yet.. it's not something I use. Is it possible it would be better?

Corn syrup/maple syrup are both alternatives to honey you could use if you need a good numbers boost. Or you could add a drop to food to increase the carbs.

"A drop".... I don't see any results until I drop a teaspoon of honey in her food..
I'll try syrup. Maybe it's just what she needs. :D and maybe she'll like it more!
One can always be optimistic :D

Yikes! Meter variance?
I should have retested the 202!
Maybe she's in a rush to get down from the moon!
Next poke +3

Could you both try to explain this to Hercules, please?
Oh dear he's bouncing!
If I were you I'd try Lev.
I think I've seen some cats flatten out on Lev. I feel stupid for complaining about yellow readings when you have reds and pinks :banghead:

Please don't. You have enough in your plate! Hope your health gets better. I know is easier said than done, but perhaps make a project of finding healthier treats you like? I lost 10kg last year, with a passion for sweets.... Discovered that mush banana mixed with oats and chocolate chips make some nice cookies...
Anyway, I was just chuckling at the idea of my cat listening to me :)
Mauer, come dow or you know what....;)

I just need to exercise.. simple as that. And a lot easier said than done!
Threats work on Mauer! Keep it up :p:D
I'm excited to see what Herc is planning today!
