Just checking: do I still need to withold food for 2hours before what was Errol's shooting time AM & PM, or can he have food 24/7 now, i.e. right up until I take his AMPS & PMPS BG? Thanks!
 
I would think you'd still need to keep food out of the mix a few hours before you test him, but I've never had an OTJ kitty before so I look forward to a more informed opinion!!

I always try to have at least an hour and preferably 2 before testing,or you see a spike from the food. If Errol does eat shortly before the test and the number seems higher than normal. test again 3 hours later. That will give the pancreas time to get to work and produce insulin.
