Increased him .25 last night to the 3.5 level. The bloods today seem a little odd to me? 15.2 at +6?

Come on Tucker - get with the program!

Yeah, he is still not responding in a regulated way. It is frustrating, but you are getting there. It is also helpful to see the tests and the spreadsheet. So I hope a lower pattern appears soon for his nadirs.

+10 is 16.2. What a flat day. BUT he is super happy, social and wanting to give us nudges and purrs. I bent down to nuzzle him and he started playing with my necklace and hair so even though his numbers are flat he is acting very Tucker-like.

Ok, so tonight at +4 after his insulin he got a 13.2 blood glucose. That's the lowest it's been in a bit. He is still acting very normal and happy.

I did a +6 and his BG had come down a little more. Happy to see a bit of movement in the right direction. +6 was 12.1. Good boy (no carb) treats for Tucky! :)

Looks like he might be on the move. Might be an idea to get another test in a couple of hours. Make sure you are getting your sleep too!

I just realised you got a +4 and it has only dropped another point in the two hours since so he may not drop too much further this cycle.

He is getting there. Almost to the blue range. Once he starts hitting blues, that is generally the "renal threshold".

Under the renal threshold the glucose is not filtered out of the blood. So less stress on his whole body. And that is why we target that range, which is also their natural range. As a result of getting to that point, the kitteh will not drink as much or pee as much.

Oh my gosh........that would be so wonderful. I feel terrible keeping him outside or in the laundry room as much as we have to--but my husband will lose his mind if we have to buy another sofa right after replacing the old one due to cat pee.

Well, not all cats pee on the sofa when they are unregulated. But I would imagine it is pretty hard to hold it all in and make it to the litter box.

Dear Leo never had an accident outside the litter box. In all three years. And there have been many times when he was not well regulated.

We have blankets on all our living room furniture. Makes us look like college kids. When we buy a new sofa in the future we will get waterproof covers made.
