Hi Folks:

Jack is doing well this morning. He did spit up a hairball which he rarely does so it surprised him a bit. He is cuddling with Bailey the last couple of days. She is small like Scooter was so I think that is why he picked her. On the other hand she may have picked him. :) All his p's are in order.

Jack seems to be settling nicely into this dose.:D I'm glad he found someone to cuddle with. My two aren't into cuddling. Well, one is, but Neko won't let him.

You asked about late Lev nadirs in Neko's condo. The typical Lev onset is +4 and onset +8, though some are earlier and some, like Neko, are later. Neko's onset is after +5 and nadir typically around +9 to +12 but she does like to mix it up. If you graph her numbers, she usually goes up after preshot to about +5, then heads back down again. So it looks like an inverted curve. It's not any difference in duration, it just starts and finished later compared to preshot. When you get Jack's +3 at night and it's higher than preshot, it could be that he just hasn't onset yet and is still "finishing off" the previous cycle. Or he could be basically flat and the little bump is just the influence from his dinner. Overall, he's still spending his time in normal numbers. :)

Linda, did you find Jack's urine ph went up with the food change? I ask because Max has a ph of 7 as it is and blocked when he was 5. I worry about the high protein in ff but with the other issue that would be more of a concern.

Yes, Jack. Cuddling is good. Glad you found someone to snuggle with.

My Polly would like a cuddle buddy. She adored my tuxie boys while they were here. Now, she's just got the nasty tortie, the oaf dog, and daBean. Only one reciprocates!

Nice start for Jack's day.

You know I haven't checked. I was just guided to the food to prevent stage 3 ckd

I was an hour late getting home from the airport n the cities so Jack got his insulin and hour late. I have never done this before is it okay to move his time an hour at a time?

Linda, being an hour late is okay - it acts kind of like a reducie. To get back on track, you should move it by 1/2 hour a day or 15 minutes a cycle, as Wendy said. That being said, we are very inaccurate with Cinco's shot times, and it doesn't seem to hurt him much, so I wouldn't sweat 10 minutes here or there.

BTW, he's looking great, and I'm glad he's found a companion to cuddle with. I wish some of my kitties would cuddle with each other, but since we lost Kisa, no one wants to get that close.
