Hi all,

Hope your little furs are doing well:cat:

It has been 10 cycles since Meme back to insulin after her nausea. She is doing will but her numbers still on blue and few greens.

Thinking of increasing the dose to 0.25!!

The problem i have with Meme that she drop fast onle on +1 +2 +3 and sometimes +4 then she back to blue, she does not has her lowest number on nadir time and i thought that lantus start to work after 3 hours but she drops very early.

On her previous dose i feed the curve to keep her high but now i can not do that because she is not eating that much since her BG is good and since i feed her YA.

I think that she is doing well on 0.1 and her numbers start to regulated more but i want her to be on greens most of the day.

Any advise please ?

Can't offer any dosing advice, but I'm so happy to hear Meme is doing better and that her bg is normal enough that she's not wanting food all the time (as frustrating as that is) because her body is getting what it needs.

At what + times are you feeding Meme now? For kitties on tiny bits of insulin, like Meme, it can be useful to feed a small low carb snack at +8 or +9. Her pancreas is partially working, and that food can help get the pancreas to kick in and bring down her numbers a few hours later at preshot time. You would ideally like to see her in solid green at this dose. If you aren't feeding the small snack now, I would try that for a few days before trying the increase.

Lantus onset can be earlier in some kitties. You will often see nadirs a bit earlier when their cycles are flatter and lower.

Yes i always make sure to feed her at +3 as other members also recommended that.

So should i give the dose a few more cycles?
