It's just a matter of getting him to a "breakthrough" dose. If you go back and see, he flipped a switch at 4.5U on 7/28 and his numbers were looking really good for the next 10-12 days.

Yes I know the numbers were great until I let the vet talk me into changing it to her way . She said that he was in hypo most of the time. I can’t believe it. Anyways I just can’t wait for him to get back to the way he was. And I’m really hoping that it’s not gonna make his neuropathy really bad again. By the high numbers that he’s getting right now.

Hi @Bandit's Mom or anyone else that can help.can you tell me why he’s going up still? I’ve switched his dose to four I would’ve thought that it would be coming down by now

He might still be bouncing. Also, it might take a few cycles for him to respond to the increase. Some cats react in the very first cycle, some take as many as 8-10 cycles to show what they can do on a dose.

Nancyco*, I am really sorry about your vet experience. I've come to learn that a lot of vets are really gun-shy at lower number because they are not used to folks doing active monitoring. They seem much more comfortable keeping at cat in the 200s than pushing for remission. Don't beat yourself up at all about listening to your vet, i'm sure the folks here will get Bailie back on track.

I'm new here, so don't take this as expert advice, but Bell was very reactive the first few weeks on a very small dose (0.25-0.5u). I've also been concerned because I have to keep upping her dose (now at 2.5) yet her numbers don't look as good as they did when she first started. Yesterday and today the 2.5u dose seems to finally be making some head-way. I hope you get to that point very soon with Baillie!
