+2=77 :woot:, I'm getting worried, I'm not used to these lower numbers at +2. I fed usual LC with +2 to see if I can get him flat, does anyone think I need to test earlier than +3?

Thanks, Michelle, that's what I was thinking too. He's easy to test for the most part, though his ears are sometimes cold, which makes the blood more difficult. I have to warm his ears up a bit, and waste a few strips. I have MC and HC food ready if need be, I've just been successful getting surfs with LC in the past, hope at least that pattern continues ;)
 
Definitely looks like a very cycle. I'd get th3 +2.5 because depending on how late to work you can be youbmughg need to intervene sooner with hc.

Do you use a warm rice sock? Beenie's ears have been colder now and it takes time to warm them up. I keep at it until they are warm, it makes all the difference in the world with blood flow. I often have to milk the ear and that works too! I recently bought special socks just for Beeie's rice sock :p

+3=61 I'm extremely worried now, fed again some MC 12% with +3, time for HC and/or syrup? I don't like this number, let alone that it is at +3. Help please.
 
Yay Mav! Titan always responded well to a little (1/4-1/2 tsp) HC. Usually takes 2-4 hours to come up. Don't panic too much at a 61, it's carb tyme but still a good number.,remember once he starts to rise you don't want to feed him carbs so you know if it's him naturally rising or if he falls again it's the carbs holding him up. I think we're back to somewhat normal, +4=151. Poor Maverick was just starting to fall asleep on his cat scratcher, he looked quite lazily at me, I freaked, grabbed him and tested only to see 151 :rolleyes:. So, I assume some of this is from the HC food given about 1 hour ago. I haven't fed anything since. I will leave LC food in the feeder which will be around +5.5 and +7.5. Would anyone feel he has a chance to drop again at this point? I know ECID, I just want him to be safe if I leave for work. I will test once more around +4.5. Thanks to everyone who looked in on me, through my little panic-attack there this morning ;)
 
Took the +4.5=131, didn't like that he was dropping again. Stayed home, +5.15 = 88 :D He's never done this before, but I've never brought out 20% carb food either :rolleyes:. Sent a note off to work, told them I can't make it in at all today, no point in going in for only 3 or 4 hours. I feel better being home, I couldn't stand the thought of trusting that he was coming up, and my gut was right. He might surf now, paws crossed...
 
Good idea to stay put.o_O Clearly Maverick wants his mama bean home today:D. The affects of HC/MC take a little while to wear off, sometimes. Its always good to get two tests in a row that aren't food influenced to ensure the kitties are going up.

I think that's why the +4.5 made me wonder. Gave him a smidgen of LC after that to see if he would surf, but the 88 was a clear sign he wasn't done just yet. Maybe the food in the autofeeder would have been fine, but he's doing things differently today, so I just didn't trust him lol
