Don't feed too much, just a couple tsp of higher carb. You want him to be hungry if you need him to be later.

Congrats on the reduction.
 
The fact that he went low, in spite of a skip, definitely means 2.0 units is too much. 1.75 is next. :)

You want that test again soon to make sure you've stopped the drop.

Plus 4 + 35 mins = 68 . Going up. He ate maybe two good teaspoon size of a mix of his Iams gran free & some wet renal as I know that has more carbs.

So check again in an hour?

The meter gave me a heart stop by refusing to turn on for a moment.
*Thinks* Back up meter as part of emergency kit.

...edit.. Oh and to think , the vet was suggesting a dose increase based on the BG& urine test at the clinic, until the fructosamine test came in as reduced numbers.

Wow congrats! How I did small doses when I didnt have half unit markings - I would fill the syringe to 1u (I actually used the insulin) - then squeezed out the drops and counted how many were in 1u. so say there are 4 drops in 1u then 0.5u would be 2 drops. Fill to 1u and squeeze out 2 drops and you have your half unit. same with a quarter unit. If 1u is 4 - squeeze out three for 0.25u. Works for me.

Looks like Silver is having an active night so I will be up late too.
