Some indignities are just too much for a little cat to have to deal with...
She was heading towards hypo one night and I wasn't prepared, so I just grabbed a pink hand towel (because pink's her colour) and a clothespin. I keep planning to get her a proper baby's bib, but she never lets me go shopping! She's such a sweet girl, but she was NOT impressed that I woke her up from her nap in the sun to pose for a ridiculous picture...

I feel like I haven't met expectations...sorry it's not cuter! ;)

I thought she looked a little angry! Her look resembles the one I get from Gizmo when I think if looks could kill I'd be in trouble. Lol

She's so cute.
She's my beautiful baby girl. I always regret when the weather gets warmer because it's too hot for her to cuddle under the covers with me with her head tucked under my chin and her paws around my neck. A little love bug...
To make the bib pics up to her, I took her out into the garden, but she's back next to me at the computer again. Velcro kitty! :-)

How's Gizmo? Tummy any better, I hope? I'll have to read your post...

He's bouncing right know, but had a great day. Actually I'm not sure what's going on with his numbers currently ... he is being persistent about wanting me to test him. The test-a-holic in him says I haven't tested him enough today I guess. Lol

ETA - tummy still upset. Hoping for a better overnight and tomorrow. No more organix.

Wow, I thought I was a testaholic, but I just took a look at your spreadsheet, and I think you win... :-) I take things literally sometimes (cracks my brother up): does he actually come up to be tested or do you just mean that his numbers demand it? He's being plenty colourful today - thank goodness he left black on the shelf, though. I hope his tummy settles soon...

Could you explain the picture with the monitor implantation? I have never seen that before.

I love, love the pictures! :joyful:
Glad you liked them! She was SO MAD about the bib pic, though...the look of utter disgust in her face is priceless.

Here's a link to the Freestyle Libre. This is a human monitor, but my vet wanted to give it a go with Girlie (second cat she's used it on). We had it put on/in on 4 July; I took her home; and she promptly went hypo that night and ended up being in hospital for over a week! So the vet got the benefit of no hassles testing with the monitor, not me. I hadn't tested manually before and was really anxious; just being able to swipe a reader over the monitor to see where he BG levels were sounded blissful. I wouldn't go for it again, though. It won't register HI or LO enough, and I really don't think it was truly accurate for Girlie. I much prefer the AlphaTRAK 2, although with the cost of test strips and the rate I'm testing at, I'm looking into getting a human reader instead.
Still, ever patient and accommodating Girlie just ignored that big disc on her shoulder - never even tried to get it off or lick it or chew it. It did make her a bit lopsided a bit when she walked at first, though. I love the idea of it, but it really didn't work for us and I wouldn't give it another try. :-)

Oh my gosh, the look in her eyes with that bib on! I love it!! Please thank Ms. Girlie for posing for us. She is beautiful. :) Thanks for sharing. :bighug:
Yup - that is one very, very annoyed Burmese! I think that the bib is beneath her dignity and that she reckons she's earned more respect at her advanced age of 18... Glad you liked the pics! :-)

Yes, he actually comes to be tested. I test in the kitchen. Pretest I sit in one chair getting ready and he waits patiently in his chair. When I am ready he lays on my lap and I test him. When he "demands" to be tested, he is sitting in his chair meowing loudly. Sometimes I can distract or ignore him, but other times he gets more persistent. Sometimes he is actually low or dropping fast and sometimes I think he just wants a treat. :p Yes, I'm a testaholic ... I'm trying to cut back especially with the cost of the strips! :( He showed any sort of pattern, I might get a little more comfortable with testing less, but I haven't seen one yet.:cat:

My vet was also very interested in the Libre meter - as am I. Can you tell me more about why you didn't like it - not sure what you mean about not registering Hi or Lo enough? Were you to go to the vet every two weeks to get it replaced?
Thanks for the idea about a bibb - if I ever have to syringe feed Murphy again, I'm going to try it
