Yesterday on Heeeerrreeeee's Gremlin!

He's been happy today. Not as cuddly as yesterday but still cuddly. He did spend almost the entire night on my bed though, which he hasn't done in a very long time! I got a new salt thingy to help my sinuses, I wonder if he likes it. Salin Plus.

What's with this super low BGL at AMPS things that's going on!?! So frustrating...

•Love and strength to @katy and mo
•Vines and prayers to all that need them
•Sincere condolences to those that are grieving

Baby Gremlin (he's the dark ginger, the black and white is my Rufie who passed a few years ago and the light ginger is Lily who was adopted out. Mum is Missy, a stray I adopted who was already pregnant)

Love all your pictures. I was looking at your spreadsheet. What does the 1F mean in the units column? Bless you for taking in a pregnant stray.
It's a "fat" shot. More than 1u but less than 1.25. It works out to be approximately in the middle of both. Grem is very sensitive to minute insulin changes and for now one fat unit is working. You can also have a skinny shot :)

Your kitty has been through so much. It is amazing that he is 18. That is a true testament to your love and devotion all these years. Thanks for the explanation.

Aaaw. What a cute baby and he really is still gorgeous! What a love he is. I see that you usually have a few other kitties around you as well, while Gremlin has the number ONE spot. Tell me about those others. I hope you had a good weekend, Laura, with lots of rest. Is this one of the weeks you must work full time?

I'm thinking about you, Laura, and hoping that you haven't been completely wiped out by work! I hope Gremlin is giving you lots of cuddles, too!

Hi Suzanne,
Thanks so much for your thoughts! Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I did work another week but had Friday off which I filled with appointments and such. I'm absolutely exhausted still which is why I haven't been on in a week. I'm dreading another work day tomorrow but at least my colleague will be back so I won't have as much to do. And my back is starting to feel better now too.

All my cats have missed me terribly while I've been working extra, I've had near constant cuddles while home and resting. It's been lovely.

I have two civvies...
Buster is 10 years old and the short haired tabby. He was mistreated by an old neighbour (left outside as a teeny tiny kitten in the middle of winter with no bed or water or anything) so my then husband and I took him in. He was always a smooch but would never lay or your lap or tolerate being picked up. I gradually taught him how to love a cuddle and now he's the first to find my lap if it's free.

Luna is 9 years old and half Maine Coon, half Ragdoll. I always wanted a Maine coon and when my old boy passed away my then husband found an add for these cross bred kittens. We went there and it was horrible... You could smell the amonia from the driveway! Luna was the only kitten left, 18 weeks old, and locked in the laundry with another (random) cat. She was TERRIFIED! I bought her on the spot just to get her out of that house. Then I cleaned her and taught her how to get along with people and other cats. Fortunately Luna and Grem's old sister became very close, and Luna and I forged a bond as well. She has always been pretty good with me but it took her years to be okay around other people.

Hang in there (as if you had much choice, right?). I’m glad your colleague will be back so you won’t be doing that person’s job as well.

you’re a very kind woman. I love the stories of how you came by your other two cats. How old are they now Buster and Luna)?

Thank you!
Buster is 10. He was about 12 weeks old when we took him in. It's hard to tell for sure how old he was and the neighbours were clueless. They'd already adopted another kitten that had a loving place inside their home.
Luna is 9. She was 18 weeks old when I brought her home.
