Hey all, hope everyone and their fur-family are doing well.

Anyway, it's been about a month since I posted. Emmett has gone from 1.75 units down to 0.75 units.

I have been noticing some blue numbers, which are still low blues, but they are more frequent. I'm assuming it's just the pancreas adjusting to the low dose.

He does seem to have nadir down as low as 65, so it's a good number.

I'm due for another reduction on Wednesday, October 17, so I am still going to see what he gets tonight and tomorrow.

Now, I believe I will be going to 0.5 units on Wednesday morning. Due to the 65 nadir I don't think it makes sense to increase...or should I leave it at 0.75 a little longer?

At this point my dose is getting pretty small, so any changes in dose probably affect him more. I hate reading the 0.25 increments lol. My eyes are good too! It's just annoying. haha

What's everyone's thoughts?

I would hold the dose a while longer. You want a week in pretty much all green, and I am not seeing that at this dose. Give him a little time, he may yet bring down those outlier blues.

Thanks Wendy. Odd, I didn't get an email saying anyone responded.

I haven't decided what to do yet. My reduction is tomorrow morning.

Obviously the problem is that I don't know what he's at during the day when I'm at work. I imagine his day is similar to his night curve, which seems to dip to the 65-70 range.

Even this morning he had a very respectable 70.

I'm tempted to do another reduction to 0.5 units and see how it goes...but at the same time if his cells haven't fully recovered that would be detrimental I think.

Hmmm. It's a toss up. Most of the +6 I've got have always been green. But you're right, it's the outlier blues which keep poking up.

The 101 on the 12th, again after a 2 hr car-ride.

And it seems he has a pattern after the weekend to have a couple of blues on the Monday. It's very peculiar. We'll see what his readings are tonight and tomorrow morning...I'm really undecided.

I know...very true. I tend to comment more than what fits in that little column (I use the actual "comment" feature of Google Sheets on the cell/BG reading in question) ...and I comment on the world tab, and these comments seem to not transfer over to the other US tab and then people don't see them. If you look in the world tab you'll see all these little yellow triangles in the upper right of the cell...

Emmett's night was pretty good (spreedsheet updated), but I think you're right...gonna stick with the 0.75 units for another day or so and see how it goes. Thanks!
