? 20/8 Shakti AMPS 232 +2 180 +3.2 75 +7:30 313 I am SO confused

Hi all,

New day, new start. I dosed her with a drop after some deliberation, since I work from home today. I was a bit late, 10:50 so I'll try to course correct and dose at 22:30 tonight to get back on track.
She seems to be doing alright, diarrhea from syrup has passed again so the cause is abundantly clear. She's in a good mood. She did throw up some grass in the morning but she's eating fine again. I'm preemptively feeding her added almo nature HFC chicken cheese (4.5%carbs) with her normal food to slow down the drop. Monitoring.

Link to prev ? - 19/8 Shakti Dose?? Graph indicates values of 45 on drop dose. skip? Please help a.s.a.p PMPS 215

She really drops predictably each cycle, Fae!
Glad her poops are better and you now have clarity on how the syrup works in her system.
Hope Shakti has a safe cycle and stays steady with NO lime dips!!!
🥰🌊🏄‍♀️😻

Well, touching a lime dip but it seems averted. However, the greens were followed by a big rise again. Her current graph is just going up and down in a zigzag pattern. She Definitely responds very strongly to the higher carb (4.5%) foods and this is making me doubt whether it is a good idea but I have no real alternative atm since she still goes up without insulin and responds too strongly to it in very low doses..

Any chance you tested that 54 with the handheld meter?

She seems to be dropping a lot by +1 and bouncing around lots. Last night I see a 68 225 112 225 68, all an hour apart, then this morning 232. That's a highly unusual pattern. What did you feed her during that zig zag last night?

Yes, it looks really weird, I think so too.
I feed her a mix of her regular food and slightly higher carb (4,5%)- but she eats that out before she eats the other stuff. I think that's causing the steep rises tbh.

ETA: same food today, same zigzag.. but I use it to buffer the steep drops. Honestly I am so confused right now, because if I do nothing she drops too low but if I feed higher carb this happens :(

Her pancreas does look to be sputtering. With kitties on such tiny doses, and sputtering pancreas, it can help to feed a bit of food around +8 or +9 (2-3 tsp) to see if the pancreas will kick in and bring down the preshot numbers.

What does that mean, the sputtering?

I will do that, thanks. I already more or less feed her around those times, but not with such consistency as it varies a bit. I free feed her and depending on the day I give her her main meals 30 mins before insulin or an hour/hour and a half- but I will try to follow your advice and hope that helps!

Sputtering means it's trying to heal, the beta cells are starting to produce their own insulin again. But they are still in a fragile state and need a little bit of insulin support.
