Yesterday

Maverick's first test this morning gave me a start...61 . I ran and grabbed another test strip, got 333. Tested a third time, new blood poke, got a 383. Fourth strip and poke, got a 134, then I saw that the battery icon was on for that test. I think the battery might have been loose. Tested again, got 340, final test 315. Poor Maverick, he was poked about 6-7times , but I had to be sure he wasn't low so I could shoot.

The battery icon hasn't come back on, and I did a control test, within range. Yikes, what a morning, and it isn't even 7:00 am yet here lol

I did get out to shovel the snow, and will buy a brand new battery just in case the battery is wearing down. It's only been 3 months of use but I need to be sure it works properly!

Sending for Mav's ears! Hmmm, makes me think I better buy a battery to have on hand. I probably should buy a back-up monitor too.

I have a backup Freestyle Lite human meter, thanks to a nice neighbour of mine, and thanks to my early drive to the store, in winter storm conditions, I now have 4 extra batteries lol. Hey, it's good to be prepared

We were technically overdue for snow...it is still the roads are a mess, glad I didn't have to go to work .

He's always been such a good, patient kittie, I'm actually really lucky, he just sits nicely and waits until the pokie is done!

I think Mav has his eye on the lagoon...+2=142. And he and the civvie are running back and forth chasing each other down the hall again , that's usually my clue he's up to a bit of a dip lol
