We are late getting up Zener's condo today, snow shoveling to do! After last night's dive early in the cycle to 43 :shock: , we decided to take a shave as we were working pretty hard to keep his numbers up. So, one drop shave in place and looks like :mrgreen: from the shed. Time will tell how this dose holds. Kitties made back yard rounds even before paths were shoveled, and serious napping on heating pads now.

Sending lots of healing energy to those in need, strength to those in the path of the winter storm and paws crossed Rebecca manages to get the board running smooth as butter without having to spank the server host! ;-)

Hi Anne and Liz, wow with yesterday's cycle and the 43! Congrats on the shave and hope it holds. I thought you might be getting a lot of snow. We had some heavy rain showers off and on yesterday. Have a great weekend.

Nice to see you guys today - I was in Zener withdrawal yesterday. He sure is showing some purrty colours lately. Good luck with the reducie!

Interesting on your snow, it's actually dry here.

Zener is surfing the greens so far, even with the shave! :mrgreen:


@Ann & Maggie - that 43 yesterday was quite a surprise and a big drop, so we shaved. Even though today could be shed action, we're sure feel better about our shave choice seeing the AM cycle numbers. :mrgreen: Based on what's in our backyard and what we shoveled so far, looks like about 4-5" at our house. I saw there was over a foot of new snow up on the mountain, and great powder. Thanks for sending your rain to us!

@Jill - thanks for dropping in to say hello. With all the current techno board problems, our social life is sure suffering! :lol: We've added in several of the supplements you suggested, and at present, he is holding steady with water intake and output, appy is happy more than crappy, poo patrol is having regular success, he's playing with some new catnip toys and generally feeling pretty good. We can't ask for more than that!

@Wendy - awwww, ZWS. I get Zener Withdrawal Syndrome too whenever I have to travel. Liz treats it by sending me pictures every day of what kitties are doing. :-D Our snow is the first significant moisture we've had in a month, so we are delighted!

Liz just left for the crazy winter Flagstaff run - where people, of their own free will, run up the ski slope (after the lifts are closed) for 1.5 miles, then come back down. You can check it out (and past photos).

There won't be any short sleeves and t-shirts this year though there will be costumes. It is about 15 F up at 10,000 feet right now, wind chill of -20 F, and blowing snow. Doesn't that sound like fun? :roll:

Hey, Anne - Good luck with the shave! Zener is looking GOOD!!! Crazy winter Flagstaff run sounds appropriately named :o

I tried to get by to see y'all last night, but the board and all that jazz....Wanted to thank Liz for the visit, too. :-D

A nice blue start at PMPS. The big guy tried a picnic but the blowing snow was a little much. :evil:

@Libby & Hershey too - thanks for the shave luck, we always need it! It's been snowing at our house for an hour so I know it's snowing up on the course. Poor Liz! Thanks for trying to visit last night. All the jazz with the board is sure affecting our social life! :lol:

@Lyresa - black kitties look so lovely in blues and greens don't they? We have a nice warm, dry house and are so grateful! Our snow is nothing compared to what's going on in the northeast US and eastern shores in Canada. We have power and because all our lines are underground, we don't have as many problems in storms. There is a big pot of chili on the stove awaiting the runners' return. :razz: No chili for kitties. :?

@Dyana - Liz is running with a team, so they will all stay together. And it is a fundraiser for a local outdoor educational camp for kids, so Kathoola gives all the proceeds to the camp, so a very good cause. They have plenty of fun, music, food and drink afterwards. The crazy run starts at 4:30 pm after the last ski runs of the day finish. We are getting dark now around 6pm so it would be light, if not for the cloud cover. So, yes, it's dusk into dark. Zener is starting off blue tonight in honor of all the blue lips on the running course. :lol:

@Michelle & Mannie - youza is right! Flagstaff is full of running crazies. ;-) Zener is putting up some pretty numbers to show Mannie the way. :twisted:

Full crazy race report to follow later tonight. Kitties are taking post-dinner naps and no yard patrol - too windy and snowy.

@Ella - Liz survived and will have to give more details later, she's wiped out. She's had her fuds and a hot shower and is trying to get out of her recliner to brush her teeth and go to bed. Zener greeted her when she got home and gave her stinky clothes a thorough sniff. :twisted: She wore the Kathoola microspikes. When she checked in for the race yesterday, they had pairs to loan out for people to try! Great marketing.

We are sending BIG TIME poo vines to Moonie, who is not feeling well and of course, she and Roni are snowed in by Nemo and can't get to the vet. If anyone has constipation expertise, please visit Roni and Moonie's condo tonight.

Good job on the dosecrease, Zener...even if it was only a drop! And nice day! woo-hoo on the blues and greens! Hope the kitties had fun napping on their heating pads and hope you and two had a nice day (once you shoveled some snow!) Sleep well and have a good night!

Nice surfing today for Zener. I hope that +2 is a food spike and he turns back around.

Liz - I hope you enjoyed the run. Personally, I think running up a mountain in the snow sounds like something I'd like to watch from the comfort of a warm chalet with an adult beverage in hand.

@Deborah & Shasta - we have another couple of inches tonight, so more shoveling in the morning. The snow kept blowing around so poor Zener hasn't been out for picnics, yard patrol or P & P. The litter box has to do for now. :evil:

@Sienne - :lol: :lol: :lol: All you have to do is ask, and Zener grants your wish. He follows his LL aunties suggestions so much better than his beans. I'm not sure if LIz enjoyed it or not. Maybe tomorrow she will have a different perspective. ;-) The ski lodge was going full blast with music, food and adult beverages. And Liz said it was packed, so there had to be many spectators enjoying the warm comforts of the lodge with adult beverages in hand! That's where I would have been if I wasn't on PM duty!

@Marje - :lol: on Sienne's wish coming true! MamaLizBean is tucked into bed and crashed and I have the night duty, so he can go lower and I'm ready for action. ;-) {{{{anti-jinx}}}}

The kitties are thoroughly disgusted with more snow. It was 50 this week for kitty's sake! cat(2)_steam

@Ann & Tess - Zener thanks you for all your support! :razz: Liz did not wear a costume, though I did get a couple of pictures of all her bags of stuff she had to take, not knowing exactly the conditions she had all sorts of cold weather gear, boots, micro-spikes, snow shoes. I think it took longer to pack everything that it took to run the race! :shock: Zener gave everything a very thorough sniff before and after, and thankfully, did not pee on anything. I'll try to sort out some posting of pictures once the board is more stable.

I'll get a test at +6 and then we shall see if I'm going to dreamland or to a PJ party. :lol:

Bummer on no chili for the kitties. Hope Zener doesn't keep you up too late.
