2/9 Wesson OTJ Trial Day 2 AMBG=89 PMBG=81

Wesson's normal test/shot time is 9AM. I normally scan him when I get up at 7AM just to see what he is doing, So today I scanned him and he was 115, fed him and checked him a 1/2 hour later and he was at 91. By the time test/shot time came he was at 9AM he was 89. I would not have caught that if I was just testing AM and PM. Is this something to be concerned about or ok since his pancreas is bringing him down after he eats? He is now at 73 (20 mins after test time).

As long as food is bringing his numbers down, there is nothing to worry about. You do sometimes get the odd low blue number in an OTJ trial. If it comes down to green 3 hours after food, it's fine.

Ok, he is 61 now. He stayed in the 50's all day yesterday. We'll see what he does today.

Yep, doing great! Dropped in the 50's a few times today, but generally higher than yesterday. Maybe the insulin was still at work yesterday? He's happy, eating well and doing fine.

I think it's safe to assume the depot has depleted. Maybe he's one of those kitties whose BG runs on the lower side.
