Good Morning LL! I guess Tess had a bungee cord attached when she dropped from the red floor yesterday. This isn't unexpected, but w/ the reduction, I'm holding my breath! nailbite_smile

For those who were wondering, Guar Gum, is a soluble fiber, like oatmeal. Dr Lisa has suggested it in her raw recipe. It acts by drawing water to the intestines the way Miralax does, but is natural. I was worried about using Miralax long term, this seemed like a good alternative. Tess doesn't always have poo every day (that's often the case when feeding raw), but if she goes more than a day I will still give a little Miralax. Guar gum also is a thickener, so the added water isn't too soupy. Don't use much or it gets too thick. I use about 1/4 of a gelato spoon. :lol: Got to keep getting gelato to keep Tess in spoons, the flat end and sides are great for getting to the bottoms and sides of cat food cans.

Tess seems to be holding firm in the high pinks, hopefully the will be at least some slidage tonight. We just had a little bit of barfus, but no hairball came out.

I spent the daya t a friends studio up in the mountains. ohmygod_smile It has been way too long since I've spent 4 hours sitting at a potter's wheel! A nice long soak in the tub would be heaven. I threw some good pieces though.

Hi Ann, How nice of Tess to give you numbers that allowed you to have some time for yourself. It must have felt great working at the potter's wheel.
Maybe the bungee jumping will let up tomorrow.
I've been reading labels closely again lately and see that By Nature 95% foods contain guar gum. Interesting. I didn't know what it "did".

I guess that neither Rusty nor Tess will be at the lagoon tonight.

I bet the potter's wheel was a pleasant way to spend the day, It was so good of Tess to give you a permission slip. Sounds very good to me.
