Relion (355)

Sure wish I knew if he was on the way down or on the way back up, but needed a few hours of uninterrupted sleep... :YMSIGH:

Wish we could figure put the difference in his two cycles. Do I remember that you shoot at 2am and 2 pm, Libby? Or am I completely misunderstanding your schedule? The cycle with the greens and blues - what happens during that cycle in the way of food/excercise/snacks?

Found vomit (Must've happened between +7.5 & +9.5)
+10
iPet (493)
Relion (415)

We shoot at 2:30 - Feed at shot time and +6 - No food snacks, but give the freeze dried treats a couple of times a day (usually at test time - sometimes we skip it, but shoot while he's eating so no treat then). He has been hungrier the last couple of days, so I increased his food at shot time by ~1/16 of a (5.5-oz) can (as accurately as I can measure it)

He's not interested in exercise, any exceptions I note in the comments. That's why I walk him around the kitchen island before meals. (At +10 today he actively played with the laser light - I had to do a double take to make sure it was him and not Oreo! :o until Oreo heard the action and came to join the party. So, of course, he stopped playing

I wonder why the Relion has now decided to register higher?? Almost out of iPet strips, so not many more comparisons can be done.

Could the decrease from +10 to PMPS be from the couple of min with the laser light or something else trying to work or both or kitty randomness?

Thanks!!

Libby (and Hershey, too!)

Hey! I can't pull up the SS--can you put your test from this cycle all together..lets be sure you don't have an inverse curve happening.

In what I am seeing, I can't decide if I think it was super flat or if it tailed off at the end.

Hey, Kim -

I can't make heads or tails out of any of his cycles. As soon as I think, 'hey, maybe -' something happens to blow that theory.

If you look just at the ipet meter, the curve looks inverse, which would indicate the possibility of too much insulin.

If you look at the Relion, the cycle looks flat to me.

So, I am lost!!!! On an inverse curve, you think too much insulin, so you would actually consider reducing the dose. On a flat curve, you think not enough insulin. Like I said, I am lost. You just need to be careful of an inverse curve and the scenario of too much insulin being what caused the drop at the end of the cycle. I have always heard, that a higher +9 or +10 than the next preshot--was a sign of too much insulin.

I hope some others chime in!

How much did you shoot this morning?

I am still fascinated by the difference in the cycles. If both cycles were in those blue/green ranges, we would be thrilled. So there should be something that happens or is fed during one cycle and not the other- right? Does he go out in the daytime? Any access possible to dry food?

I have been comparing the numbers but they have all been so high that there isn't much to compare.

I think you can stick to the scale as it is. We can adjust it as we go along.

I'm assuming that you have already shot the PM dose. If tonights cycle is high and flat or inverse I would lower your AM dose, maybe .5u to see if his numbers improve or get worse. That way we will safely know for sure which way to go.

Sorry, hadn't filled in the PM dose. It's been .7u for the last 4 cycles.

He never goes outside and the only dry food in the house is an unopened bag waiting to be returned to the store. And, it's up where he can't get to it.

If it were me I would stick with the .7,
I amthinking there was no movement today
because Hershey saw a little green last night..

PM +6

Wonder why the Relion is reading higher so often now??

Wish his daytime numbers looked as good as his evening numbers...Off to feed the kitties...

Thanks, Everybody!!
