Happy Sunday, Lantus Land friends!! Thank you all so much for keeping Mike, Gracie, and Tobey company this week. You all rock!!! Since I am way behind on what's going on with everyone, we send out healing vines to all who need them and I'll try and catch up later today.

Gracie and Tobey did fabulous under Mike's wonderful care. Those babies have just been wild since I got home last night. My flight was late and I didn't get home until almost midnight and they were racing all over the house, chasing each other, throwing in a few headlocks just to show off. And they were back at it this morning. But in between, I got lots of lovey cuddles and it was the best thing ever to wake up this morning with the two of them and Mike all cuddled in bed with me. Although....I got up at +9 to test Gracie and I could not find her anywhere. I searched all over this house and no LBG. I went back into our bedroom to check again and when I turned around to go back into the kitchen, she was sitting right there staring at me. I have no idea where she was but she knew it was time for a test because she went into the bathroom and waited for me to put her up on the counter to test her. Sweet baby.

"Somebody" surprised Daddy with 40's last night. He is an expert at getting her back up, though. And today we have a bit of a bounce. C'est la vie with FD!!! :-D

I am sooooooooo happy to be home. It was freezing cold in Texas (around 0 degrees one day). My mother was so difficult this trip and so the four of us girls did not get as much good quality time with her but we four got to spend a lovely time together and I also got to see my best friend from grad school (who was also my matron of honor) as she has recently returned to the DFW area. So that was fantastic!! My sister keeps it so cold in her house and my other sister and I froze at night even with flannel sheets, flannel jammies, three blankets folded in half. I didn't get the sleep I was hoping to get because I was so cold. But I didn't want to ask her to turn the heat up because she is always hot and I figured it was easier for me to pile on covers. Our bed felt so fantastic last night....so warm and comfy :-D :-D :-D

I came home to everything perfect. I am the luckiest woman alive!!! Mike had already done my usual Sunday cat chores....so today we are going to go for a hike and just spend some time together in the beautiful weather while Missy G does a little bounce. Have a super day and I will try to catch up later today.

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

Welcome back Marje! :-D What a great way to spend the night, snuggled with your family...in the WARM house instead of the cold one you visited  .

I wonder where Gracie was at +9? Chyna does that sometimes too, appears out of nowhere after I've searched all over. Just when I thought I knew everywhere she could be  .

I'm glad your chores are done so you can have some nice quality time. It's nice to have such a good helper like DH, I'm sure! Have a great day, and a good hike

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

Welcome home, Marje,
I think Gracie just wanted to keep Rusty company last night. Sorry I didn't get to Mike's condo very often, but I know he did a great job with Gracie and Tobey. It's been a busy week for us.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

WELCOME HOME Marje! I know you were SO missed by all your crew!

D/FW? For some reason I thought you were near Houston...you DID get COLD! We're only 90 miles north of there...yep, we was freezin' at the same time. You even got one that slipped past us. I don't do cotton sheets in winter - it's FLANNELS only!! ...and flannel pj's...and room radiator - I'm so glad my hubby likes to be warm to sleep too.

Gracie - wearin' dat blue today? Wish KT followed your bounce numbers....

BIG HUGS TO ALL!

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

Welcome home, Marje. I'm sure you appreciate Tucson weather all the more for having tasted the "real" winter in TX! I'm the sister that keeps it "cold" and my visitors bundle up. You're right, it's easier to warm up than to cool off, but sometimes you reach a point when you just can't get warm. Your problem is you've lived in AZ too long and your blood has thinned. My sister is the same way - however, she moved to Ohio two years ago, so hers is starting to thicken up!

Mike did a great job, with the kitties and the condos, while you were gone. You are so blessed to have a DH like him. Gracie sure was showing off her lagoon skimming skills last night. Hope she lets you guys get some sleep tonight and keeps her surfing above the danger line! I just love the image of her and Tobey running around and playing. They are such adorable kitties. :-D

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

Wonderful Marje report :-D Happy to see you home and comfy again, and sounds like the furbabies are thrilled with mama's return!. Cheers to Mike for being a pro BIC!
Silly Gracie and her 40's dive. She doesn't seem too worse for the wear so far...fingers crossed
Have a fabulous day!!

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

Welcome home Marje. I'm glad you made it back safely and the kitties are doing so well. I hope Gracie comes back down soon.

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

welcome home! i'm sympathizing with you on being the cold one - i loathe being cold and i seem to be colder than most people. i wear layers and layers. glad you're home where it's warm. i know your family missed you while you were gone!

was gracie laughing when you found here?

enjoy your day settling back in!

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

Welcome home Marje! That's just not right that you weren't able to catch up on your sleep while in Texas. Yeah, it's pretty difficult to sleep when you're shivering. Though not as cold here in Houston, it's been cold enough that our master bedroom has been chilly enough that I've had my nights that the cold's kept me up. And if that's not bad enough, the colder temps make getting up for the morning duty that much more difficult.

Glad you're back home, thawing out in the nice warmer Arizona temperatures, enjoying your Sunday with Mike, Gracie and Tobey. Looking forward to warmer days here myself. Have a great day.

Re: 2/9 Gracie AMPS 140 +2 172

Welcome home Marje!

I think cold is relative. :-D However everyone loves that warm cuddly feeling with those who we love! Glad your morning was the greatest!

I am a little envious of having such a great DH. Where do I buy one of those?

Linda

Thanks so much for visiting today and welcoming me home, Rachel, Ella, Lyresa, Tricia, Kim, Carla, Julie, Laura, and Linda.

It's funny, Linda, because my best friend from college is now wintering in the DFW area but their house (where they've lived since we got out of grad school +30 years ago , is in St. Paul).  Mike is one in a million, and I am not kidding. He really is and I do not know how I got so blessed.

Well we expected to see a 95 at PMPS instead of 195 but we think she might be bouncing now from the 40s last night. Which could be good because she might flip flop her cycles now and be a little higher at night and down during the day. Oh I hope so because Mike has to go to KY in a few days.

We're having dinner and then I'll be around. Have a great evening.

Glad to hear you got in some good sister time and best friend time...but sorry about the freezing temps...outside and inside the house. I like a cool house when I sleep, but there's a difference between cool and COLD! Even Gracie's bounces look lovely in comparison to Shasta's bounces! Maybe Mike could teach a class to other guys on how to be amazing and wonderful?! Please!!!!! :-| I've all but given up on finding a man because all of the ones I've met recently are jerks. I'd rather stick with cat diabetic cat and smelly horse!!!! Anyways, sorry I've been a stranger lately, but I love hearing how wonderful little Gracie is doing. Glad you're home safe, Marje!
