Happy Sunday, Lantus Land friends!! Thank you all so much for keeping Mike, Gracie, and Tobey company this week. You all rock!!! Since I am way behind on what's going on with everyone, we send out healing vines to all who need them and I'll try and catch up later today.
Gracie and Tobey did fabulous under Mike's wonderful care. Those babies have just been wild since I got home last night. My flight was late and I didn't get home until almost midnight and they were racing all over the house, chasing each other, throwing in a few headlocks just to show off. And they were back at it this morning. But in between, I got lots of lovey cuddles and it was the best thing ever to wake up this morning with the two of them and Mike all cuddled in bed with me. Although....I got up at +9 to test Gracie and I could not find her anywhere. I searched all over this house and no LBG. I went back into our bedroom to check again and when I turned around to go back into the kitchen, she was sitting right there staring at me. I have no idea where she was but she knew it was time for a test because she went into the bathroom and waited for me to put her up on the counter to test her. Sweet baby.
"Somebody" surprised Daddy with 40's last night. He is an expert at getting her back up, though. And today we have a bit of a bounce. C'est la vie with FD!!!
I am sooooooooo happy to be home. It was freezing cold in Texas (around 0 degrees one day). My mother was so difficult this trip and so the four of us girls did not get as much good quality time with her but we four got to spend a lovely time together and I also got to see my best friend from grad school (who was also my matron of honor) as she has recently returned to the DFW area. So that was fantastic!! My sister keeps it so cold in her house and my other sister and I froze at night even with flannel sheets, flannel jammies, three blankets folded in half. I didn't get the sleep I was hoping to get because I was so cold. But I didn't want to ask her to turn the heat up because she is always hot and I figured it was easier for me to pile on covers. Our bed felt so fantastic last night....so warm and comfy
I came home to everything perfect. I am the luckiest woman alive!!! Mike had already done my usual Sunday cat chores....so today we are going to go for a hike and just spend some time together in the beautiful weather while Missy G does a little bounce. Have a super day and I will try to catch up later today.
