She's looking good and surely heading to the lagoon soon. Did you take the fat off the dose or just forget to put the F in the SS? Surf safely today sweet girl.

Anyone have cat stair recommendations? I have these ones for the bed, but I don't want to get them for the living room because they are higher than needed for the couch and they also take up a lot of space:

It's hard to tell online how study something is. Any recs?
Diy??? Out of boxes or old books or whatever - then you get the size you want and the colors you want. Fabric remnants or carpet remnants. ??? A dog's age ago i lived in NYC and worked in interior design and the carpet stores were more than willing to part with old samples. :)

Flat blue => green. :D

Neko spurned my stair efforts. Much easier to ask for a lift. :rolleyes: For the living room, I had thought of making her an ottoman or tusset that had a second purpose of being useful for me. Carpeted ramps are another option.

With Elmo I use a small suitcase or Chewy box , tall enough to get him about halfway to where he wants to go .He has one by the couch and one by his shelf where he insists on eating in the kitchen .

@Nan & Amber i tried those ones, epic fail. :rolleyes: Maybe cause my furbabes were larger and the treads were too narrow for them. Fortunately store took returns.

I wish, all of my saws and tools are in Virginia and I don’t have the space here, or neighbors that would appreciate, the DIY. I made a box cushion for a window seat and I had to send a pattern to Virginia and have my dad cut the wood for me and send it back, was a pain. If I built it, it would be wood, I just don’t think cardboard would be sturdy and stable enough that she wouldn’t fall.

She’s at the age where she needs the full stair experience, half way, she will think “no way” :(

That one is high on my list because the foam ones just don’t seem that stable to me. I’m afraid of the same thing, but Asia is on the petite side, maybe they will work. These stairs are similarish to the ones on their litter box and she does okay with those:

Was looking at those, what are the treads like? Is it not too steep/slippery?

The stairs themselves are plastic, but the treads are a kind of cloth/carpet-like material (good traction). The only thing I don't like about them is that the bottom is just plastic, so it can slide on the wood floor. Where I have them, they can't go far so it doesn't matter, but I wish the bottom had more friction. The stairs themselves seem very stable.

Oh my! Amber is a big girl too, but she manages. I did put treats on all the treads when I was training/convincing her to try them, so maybe she still has a positive association there ;). She is the most treats-oriented cat I've ever known!

Good to know, the cat box stairs are the same. I put those little rubber or felt furniture feet on the bottom to help with that.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! :bighug:

I’m going to order Amber’s stairs and see how it goes. Amazon is good with returns, so if it doesn’t work out, I will try something else.
