First time posting in the Lantus thread.
Having a real tough time figuring out Sebastian's dosage. We've tried different ones per vet recommendation and I can't see any difference. 3 units, 4 units, 5 units, 7 units (what he's on now), all seem to be mid 200s - low 400s.
Little backstory, diabetic for 4 years, started on 3 for about a year, then to 5 for year, then to 7 for 2 years, no issues. Starting getting sick last year, pancreatitis at the end of November, recovered but now has weight loss that we can't get back. He does best on 7 units, fur looks good, still pretty lazy but more energy than when he was on 3-5, and numbers aren't good but weight at least is stable-ish.
Still on dry food, tried to transition to wet but it just aggravated the weight loss so we went back to dry until we get it figured out.
