Morning Folks:

Well Scooter took a little dip into the 100's overnight. He seems very busy this morning with toys and laps and kittens. Thanks for the expertise yesterday. I am glad I didn't up his dose since he went low overnight.

BTW what do you folks do with your used needles?

Family reunion today so I will be gone for part of the day but I am sure Scooter will be fine.

Loved the opening ceremony last night Wendy! the tech was great. womens hockey off to a great start whooping Sweden! Go team Canada! Oh and our uniforms beat the ugly sweaters. lol

Nice start for Scooter today. Hope he surfs safely while you're gone. Good to hear he's active and happy.

When we first started on this FD journey, the vet gave us a little gizmo called a Safe-Clip. It' s made by BD and you can get it in most drug stores ( I recently got one at Wal-Mart). You put the needle into a hole on the side and squeeze it, and it cuts the needle off. You can then throw the syringe in the garbage. It holds 1500 needles, and you can throw it away when it's full. My sister-in-law and nephews have to give themselves injections daily, and she was fascinated when she saw it. She went out and bought them each one, so excited to get rid of that big, ugly sharps container. It makes life so much easier.

i use that little clip gadget too, although i didn't think you could just throw them away after they were full. They hold so many, i never used one up, although, hehehe my friend had gigantic needles she used on her goats and i tried to clip one for her with my little clipper and it jammed it up. so don't use it for giant needles!

i bought mine from http://www.AmericanDiabetesWholesale.com along with nearly all the rest of my supplies. if you register with http://www.mrrebates.com first you get a rebate on your purchases.

i found the little clippers in the section with sharps containers, and they only cost about $5 - well worth it. shoot and clip, then throw away the syringe that is now needle-less.

scooter's numbers seem a lot better as of that amps!

Going to check it out right now.

Scooter surfed safe so far. It's kind of hard when I have busy days to check but he is a trooper and doesn't seem to care.
The numbers are coming down yesterday and today.


The family reunion was fun.

Linda - could you update your first post subject line with the new numbers. Looks like Scooter had a pretty good day while you were gone.

Glad you had fun at the reunion. Good condo today. Those clips are pretty expensive here but I'll add one to my next ADW order.

BTW: I just figured the US was celebrating National Sweater Day one day late. :lol: I've seen some of their other uniforms, such as snowboard, and those ones look kinda cool. The CBC has a cool Olympic app if you want to catch up on events on line.
