Good morning, kitties and beans! :cat:

Link to yesterday's condo.

Moosey goose is doing so well! There hasn't been any drama lately (and we know how Moose has a flair for the dramatics!) The drop dose seems to be the right dose for the time being. I'm hoping that those blues will turn into dark greens, but I'm still happy with where we are at.

I'll probably be able to get a +3 this morning as I will be going into work late (I have a pre purchase home buying counseling appointment set up - going to be buying my first house this year if all goes well!)

I hope that all kitties and beans have a great day! Hugs to all!

Moose is sure ready for the work week to be over ;)

What a cute picture :cat:
The dose does seem to be working better for him right now. I'm glad you can get a +3 this morning.
Good luck with the first house buying. That is a stressful and very exciting time :)

I'm liking this dose and thrilled that he was able to settle in and bring down those blues to greens! Perfect that you can get a +3. Cute picture of the Moose!

Fingers crossed for yourhouse buying experience. What an exciting time for you!

Question (as I do love my questions!):

In the morning I'm definitely going to be testing +1 and +2 since I need to leave for work after, but in the evening am I safe to start testing every 2 hours instead of every hour? (unless he's dropping, of course, then I will check every 30 min - hour if needed.)

I'm fine with still checking every hour if needed, just trying to save a few test strips. I've been going through a pack of 50 every week.

I'm so glad Moose isn't scaring you at +1 and +2 like before!!

If you are used to taking tests until like +3 or +4 in the evening (can't recall off-hand), but if you are, then I would suggest +1 then one more before heading off to bed, if +1 is level.

Oh my goodness, me and you both!!!

Usually I get a +1, +2, +3, +4 (and up to a +5 and +6 if needed).

Ok, so only two tests a night then? A +1 and +4? (Bedtime for me is usually after +4, unless the number requires me to stay up later/keep checking.)

That's really 3 tests - PMPS and 2 more tests after. It's really up to you what you wish to do.
Ok thank you, sorry I just feel like I had been testing a lot because of the constant low drops...and now that he seems to be stabilizing on the drop dose, I'm not sure how often I should be testing. I know that it is ultimately my decision, but I still want to do whatever is best practice.

Thank you for your input!

There are those greens you were hoping for. Go Moose!
Buying a house is very exciting. Good luck!
I'm new to the forum with a recently diagnosed cat. Is the '78' number on a human meter or a animal meter? (I use AlphTrak2). When I saw a 78 I was very concerned. Is that a good number? There is so much conflicting information out there.

78 on an human meter. Yes, that is a good number in Moose's case because he is "surfing" (keeping in the dark green color which is a normal range for cats, between 50 -80 is considered normal.)

I'm not sure the exact variance between the pet specific and the human meter, I was previously using the AlphaTrak2 as well but know that the numbers from that don't exactly align with the numbers on the spreadsheet since that is based off of a human meter.

Looking good :D
Since his +1 is a little lower than his PMPS, you could test at +2 to see if he is still going down, or wait until +2.5 or +3. Hopefully, he'll continue to surf nicely tonight.

I had to run out for a few errands but I will be back for a +3!
