2/8 Mikan AMPS 317, +2 185, +3 97, +4 87, +7.25 57, +12 47: PMPS (5 min later) 54 BCS, +2 138, +3 82

Good morning Kit and Mikan, beautiful cycle again last night. :DI hope you got to sleep at a decent hour. Here she is in the pink but you know that will be very short-lived.
I guess she needs a quick little break before her hard work in the Green. :D
Hope you have a wonderful day today and she stays nice and safe. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Good morning Staci,
She really did well yesterday. And looks like she's moving down this morning as well.
Hope her system is learning to stay steady in the good zone, instead of having extreme numbers
Hope you and Ivy have a lovely day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

There she goes....that was a fast turn around and she put the trampoline away in the closet.
Good girl, Mikan. Now slow and steady....:D:D

Good meowning Kit and Mikan.
She might have started her meowning on a trampoline wearing her pink leotard but she's definitely on the beach meow and she made sure to get there quick.
Meow time for some relaxation, for both of you.
Happy Thursday

Looks like Mikan cleared her am bounce already, hope you both have a good, safe rest of the day! :bighug:
Hi Christine,
Yeah, Mikan moved quickly this morning!
Initially I was scared to see the big drop but she was able to mellow it down ;)
I wish she wouldn't trampoline jump at the end though! I guess it takes time for her to get used to the lower number
Hope all is going well for you, Christine! :bighug:

Hi Karolina!
Love the donut kitty :cat: So cute!
I'm quite happy that Mikan came down quickly and staying down so far!
I just hope she will learn to stay at the beach through and through - without jumping so high at the preshot:rolleyes:
But for now, we will enjoy the great cycle she's having!
Hope you are enjoying your day, Karolina :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Mikan had the lowest preshot at +12 0 her normal PMPS test (47). I waited 5 min to retest and got 54, a shootable BG.
It's been said that with Lantus, it gives a gentle curve when shotting low.
But Mikan doesn't seem to heed that and tends to go for a scuba diving.
So I decided on BCS - instead of 3.5U, I shot 2.5. Hope she coasts okay tonight without setting back too much.

Oh boy, Kit. You’re really being tested these days. Good call to do BCS tonight. She’s just diving too deep. Our extreme girl over there.:nailbiting:
Your nerves must be shot.
come on Mikan, surf nicely tonight. No extreme sports.
Sending you hugs for support and strength tonight, my friend :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Staci :bighug:
I agonized over the dose thing, but I just couldn't risk it. She can just drop down to deep limes and I was just so scared. So even if the dose is insufficient, I wanted to cruise through tonight safely. But then,:rolleyes::rolleyes: she is back up at +1 and keeping it :rolleyes::rolleyes: Not sure where she will go from here, but I just want to avoid the hypo threat.
Think it will set her back? Maybe. It feels like a no-win situation!
But really appreciated support and hugs from you :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Woah, Mikan! Such a busy day! I hope she doesn't dive down on you, but I know you've also got this!
Hi Alicia,
I was so surprised at the PMPS! This is the first lime BG at +12.
I actually tested her three times then, and 47 was the highest. Shortly after, she come over to the green side - okay, breathe and shoot.
But I just couldn't do 3.5U. Chicken, maybe, setback, maybe. But it felt too risky.
Well, I hope this was a right decision. Time will tell. And time will heal, no matter what the short-term consequence maybe ;)

Did you feed her anything different for dinner tonight? She seemed to get a 80 point bump from dinner, which is quite a bit. On Tuesday AM she got a 60 point bump. The only other +1 this year, Jan 15th, she just got a 10 point bump. Knowing how much of a numbers bump they might get from dinner makes it easier to shoot lower numbers.

She sure is giving you a lot more green these days. :D

Hi Wendy,
Great point! Because I was scared of her low preshot, I did feed 13% MC at the PMPS. Perhaps that's what lead to the big food pump.
I was glad to see her come down and stay put afterwards :)
Mikan is unpredictable and bouncy, but you are right, she's showing more greens lately :):):)

Thanks Staci :bighug:

I think you made the right decision. Very sound. But that’s just me. Others may disagree.
She keeps progressing inch by inch lately so I just can’t see how you set her back. And you can’t risk those limes. Nope.
Great call I say!! Proud of you and your sound decision making abilities, Kit :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Awww, thank you so much Staci. Your kind support means a world to me
I guess we just have to go with the gut feeling. And we have to decide fast!
We are their moms (ie servants:p) we have to trust that we know our kitties!

Back at you, Kit
You have a great sense. I’m in awe.:joyful:
I’m always hoping I’m making the right choices to keep Ivy safe.
