2nd day on the new dose and it looks like I'm starting to see some better nadirs (fingers crossed!). Max was super hard to test today though. My mom is so afraid she's not going to get blood when she pokes cause a couple times she didn't that she pokes super hard, and Max isn't likin' it. I keep trying to gently tell her she doesn't need to poke quite so hard. I may try the warm rice sock because, when Max's ears are cool, they don't bleed as easy. I usually just spend time warming them by rubbing, but Mom has a hard time with that. We've got 3 weeks to get it right, and I sure hope we can.

You teaching her to free hand or use the lancing device? The device with the clear tip might be easier for her to control the amount of pressure with.

Yep, it's the lancing device with the clear tip. I think if we could get his ears a little warmer that might help, and I know it takes time to learn something new. It took me a lot of time to get comfortable with it.

I have been at this for ten months now and I still use the rice sock. The few times I didn't I had to squeeze for the drop to get big enough and Alska did not like that very much.

Hopin' the rice sock will do the trick for us too! So PMPS was 90! I haven't ever shot a full dose on a number that low, but went ahead and did it cause I'll be home to monitor closely and test. I feel like Max has been a while on the other dose and I know what it does for him. We shall see how tonight goes. I may be trying to find something between .6u and .75u. :?
