Well, Luci with her usual 'I'm full of surprises attitude' made a quick run for the lagoon on DH's watch yesterday while my son and I went off to the everglades for an airboat ride. No sooner than we'd stepped off the boat my phone is ringing and he's asking me 'when will you be home?' Luci's at 64 and I've got to go to a meeting! Well, it's an hour drive if we jump in the car and drive straight back (although that wasn't the plan - we were going to see alligators and have lunch, etc.)...and once again Luci's requirements for supervision demand a change of plans!!! So he fed her some MC - apparently went to his meeting and then left after only a brief time and was back home to test her within the hour - to find that she was down to 53 - still flirting with the sharks... All I could think was 'welcome to my world'.

Let's see what she does today. My son leaves on Sunday - so I'll return to being full-time Luci-slave after that. Sometimes this gets old...or maybe it's just me getting old. Never did I think when we began this journey that over a year later we'd still be at it with the timers and the tests...and well you all know the drill..I need a vacation.

Glad your DH was able to take care of Luci yesterday. I hope she slides down slowly and surfs today. I hope you are enjoying your visit with your son.
 
HA! That little stinker. I had just read your response on my yesterday thread about being disappointed and frustrated so I guess Luci needed to cheer you up in her typical "I'm in control" fashion.

Yeah on making it to the lagoon. She was pretty much on schedule with the new dose depot filling.

This dance is for sure frustrating. Right when we think they are predictable , they sure show us. I would get a +1 today just in case she decides to break this bounce quickly and you can give her a little LC to soften the drop.
 
Luci up to shenanigans again. We get so use to the routine, then you get a day of freedom from it and you think this is so great, why can't it be this way all the time. Then you go home and see that wonderful fuzzy face looking at you knowing they are plotting and you just get back into the routine without thinking.
 
They always let us know, at the most inconvenient times, that they are in control :cat::rolleyes:
Glad that Luci remained safe and your dh was able to get home so that you could enjoy time with your son.

Sorry ur trip was changed, they rule!! Day and night 7 days a week, sometimes it even seems longer than that, never thought we would be doing this coming up on 2 yrs either had hoped for remission so bad but dont think it will ever happen

Hey Luci, maybe check in on George @Gill & George and see if he is giving surfing lessons! He took the most leisurely river ride down from 332 to 64 and enjoyed the scenery along the way. You don't always have to go straight to the cliff!

Hey, maybe she keeps hearing us have OTJ parties and talk about the falls, and that's where she thinks she's going. She's trying to go over the falls in a barrel. Maybe we need to talk about the lazy river instead when we are around Luci?

Glad DH kept Luci safe :)
Hope the rest of the time with your son is only exciting in human ways!
