Not sure if KT's going to dive today but I'm ready if he does....he's feeling his oats today but is also looking for Nuisance. When I came home from visiting Nuis and had his smell on my hands, KT grabbed my hand and started smelling, licking and rubbing his head all over them.
Nuisance was still VERY loopy but figured out after about 2 minutes of my holding him that it was Mama - he suddenly tucked his head under my chin, put his arms around my neck and just held on like he does at home. I sang to him (our thing-MY purr) quietly for about half an hour. I felt so bad having to leave him again but he's where he needs to be right now. Catheter is still draining well, no blood so now it's just get the inflammation under control and antibiotics for UTI. I left 4 smelly t-shirts so they can change them out when he gets them wet. I left him wrapped up in my sleep shirt, resting better when I left than when I got there.
Have to explain his name...when I got him at about 6 weeks old, he was loud, squirmy and curious. I put him in a box to bring him home as I didn't have a carrier with me. He butted around the box tumbling it all over the floorboard. About 2 miles down the road out pops this little head MEEERRRP? MAMA MAMA wanting held! Got here, he was all over DH snuffling and 'merrrrp'ing - jumped down and ran under the couch. Got him out, he then had to see what was on top of the sideboard. One of my favorite books has a character that acts like that that's called 'Nuisance'. It just fit him PERFECTLY....so 'Nuisance' he became.
BIG HUGS to all that visit today, thoughts and prayers for our sick babies AND the new ones showing up every day!
