Yesterday

Every yellow AMPS day to date (2/1 and 2/5) has had blues and at least one green....

So today may be quite interesting!

based on the avg BG right now of under 300, we have moved to testing for ketones once weekly is that sufficient? I think that it is if I am reading the TR guidelines correctly.

sliding down to 255 at +3, not bad. no drop off, as yet anyway

Nice cycle!

I think that's fine, especially since ketones have basically been non existent for a week. Just keep an eye out for any odd things - inappetence, vomiting, lethargy, etc.

is it though? I am baffled. 3 days ago, almost exact same AMPS, same feeding plan and he nadir'd at 75

+4 today, is 256. Just staying flat. I don't get it I was sure we'd see blue today

Working off that bounce. I suspect he had a longer slide down last night with a late nadir, probably blue. Flat yellow usually means fun to follow ... sometimes ha

It's the one sort of maddening thing about the depot insulins, there are "inactive" cycles. Obviously the insulin is doing something in the background, but some cycles are just flat, then some you get action.

It would be nice if he could stick with the gentle ones so you'd have room to increase but I don't think that will be the case ...I suspect another green in the next few cycles

probably didn't need to bother with it but I was curious -- +6 came in at 282

He seemed unusually hungry out of the blue about 3:30pm (+9) so I did a quick BG test -- 329. Guess I was just paranoid

with any luck he'll stay relatively flat until PM cycle. Would make for a pretty flat cycle overall with just a little rise at the end.

woohoo into the blue an hour before his typical nadir-ish time of +4/5

gave a teaspoon 10% carb snack and couple bites raw. Obviously not going to bed just yet...

he seems to nadir around +4 more often than not, which is....in 5 min

so I am about to see what's what.

I mean, I almost guarantee he is on the rise at +5, he pretty much always is

but I'll sleep better knowing for sure
