Re: 2/7 Gobbles AMPS 523 shot one hr early

Morning guys sorry about the huge jump wow talk about a bounce! Did Gobbles get into any contraband? Hope you see some better numbers today.

That's a huge jump. I'm really glad you re-tested. Are you certain there's no contraband involved?

Is such a bounce unheard of? I assume it is probably at best quite uncommon. I found no evidence of contraband. However, we had company for dinner yesterday and I didn't sweep the kitchen floor after they left...possible that something fell from the table (however, if so, the dog is our in-house gleaner and doesn't miss a crumb....). He is totally crashed right now; I've let him be since I shot him at 7:10 AM. I hope he comes down easily :(

Not unheard of, but really fast. And I didn't see it coming after last night's cycle.

whoa... bouncy kitty! glad you were able to shoot an hour early!

going back to yesterday's thread and feeding MC...
dyana and i have differing opinions... and that's ok. there was a 28 point "drop" between AM+11.5 (187) and +12 (159) at the end of the cycle (when the action of the insulin is waning). when considering meter variance, those numbers could be considered the same... not a high-speed drop. if you had to run out the door after feeding/shooting at PMPS time or if you were brand new and hadn't collected enough data or experience handling lower numbers... imho, you *might* want to bump the numbers up with MC. seeing as though you were home, available to monitor, and prepared to handle lower numbers... bumping up a preshot number with MC really isn't necessary.

just my thoughts...

Re: 2/7 Gobbles AMPS 523 +2 491 +5 515 ?parm cheese

Gobby's been picking at his food today (not the first time). So I tried "dusting" his watered down FF LC w/parmesan cheese--wow! He scarfed it down. I think I created a little monster! Will this hurt him, should I give him a little dusting on his food, as needed and/or daily?

I'm not sure if using parm regularly is a problem or not, but it's awesome that he thoroughly enjoyed is cheesy fuds tonight!! Sometimes they just get sick of what we serve...can't blame 'em. I know lots of beans here end up opening several cans before they hit the jackpot. The kitties are in charge around here!

Of course, that's the "human" USDA nutrition info. But I was surprised by the low carb content. I don't think a sprinkle over his food is going to cause an issue from a carbs standpoint? Those numbers are for a human serving size of one tablespoon.
