2/7 Chloe OTJ trial day 5 AMBG 86 PMBG 96

Yesterday was her lowest AM reading OTJ at 81, but today is the second lowest :)

She is happy and playing and has energy. She isn’t interested in other flavors of ff so far… only fish and mixed chopped grill for her. She did finally eat the beef one but it upset her tummy :(
Suggestions on how to branch out on flavors?

I ordered a bag of freeze dried treats at the suggestion of @tiffmaxee and @Bandit's Mom but unfortunately with the icy weather conditions in the northern US, the order is stuck somewhere up there and has been delayed (expected on Wednesday). Maybe she will like it? She seems to have accepted that the dry food is gone though; no longer looking for it.

I checked her weight this morning and documented it so I can be sure she doesn’t lose. She’s 13.2 lbs right now
 
It is important to find flavors other than fish to keep her healthy. You can read why at

Changing protein can cause tummy upset so do it gradually. Maybe try a different brand? Just make sure it’s low carb.

thanks for the information :) I will try some other brands. I believe there is a list on here somewhere of acceptable lc wet foods…?

just got the pure bites (chicken) she didn’t like so far but I will keep trying :)
 
I noticed that Chloe’s poo is not as odorous (a good thing obviously) but wondering if maybe she isn’t going as often? I know she’s drinking less water but that isn’t bad thing since her sugar is better controlled. Is constipation something I need to be watching for?

She’s not on any new medication, right? Raw fed cats poop less often but not others. She should be well hydrated on canned food. Is she peeing more or the same?

no new meds; she seems to be peeing the same. I assume she’s drinking less water since her sugar is more controlled and like you said she gets hydrated from wet food and is no longer having any dry.
