Hello LL!

Last condo: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/2-5-billie-pmps-189.132653/

@Marje and Gracie ...good call on suggesting that I test earlier in Billie's cycle!! Yikes! Since it had been 6 cycles since we saw green, I decided to fatten her dose back up to a full 1.5 tonight. I don't know if that drop made a difference or if she is just breaking a bounce very enthusiastically, or both, but wow. I just gave her a little bit of gravy mixed with her LC because she could definitely stand to slow down! I knew she was dropping because she tends to drink a lot when she is dropping (I wonder why?) and she made 3 trips to her water bowl in the last hour which is unusual. I will break out the vanilla ice cream if the gravy doesn't cut it.

I hope everyone is having a good night! Sending vines to all the kitties and beans needing vines.

Whoa there Billie!!!

It could be the extra insulin or it could be clearing a bounce. Since it seems to be consistent with what she's been doing, I think she's just coming down fast almost every night.

Good catch! You should be able to get her slowed and flattened out, Deanna.

I think you're right - I guess she gets in a big hurry to come down which must be triggering more bounces. I'll get some more +2ish tests over the next few days.

I am wondering if I should experiment by mixing in a little gravy with her +1 food to slow her down. Our MC options are super limited/nonexistent because of her allergies. Her novel protein options are rabbit and pork which she has for most meals, lamb, and beef which she has never really liked. She is getting FF beef gravy when she needs it (one that doesn't have fish or chicken in it). I am suspicious poultry and fish, because that's what was in her rotation when her hives showed up last summer. Hound & Gatos makes a beef that is 9% according to Dr. Lisa's chart, but Billie won't eat it. I'll try again though - it has been a while. I want to find new food options for her in general because the clay in Instinct has me concerned. I'm tempted to try out Ziwipeak's lamb but I don't know if the mussel would be a problem if fish is a problem. Cat food is so complicated! At least she is eating and happy. That makes me happy.

Hi Deanna- long time no see! Nice slide from Miss Billie!

Glad to hear Billie is doing to well, food choices are tough enough without allergies to worry about! But you are so right, when kittie is eating, the bean is very happy! :cat:

Aha! She caught you, Billie. Great, Deanna on the discovery.

Agree on the food. Hard enough without the allergies. Hope some tasty main meal stuff shows up for you to feed the girl.

Thanks for the visits Marilyn and Ella, and thanks Ella for the link to the raw food chat! We only tried raw once and neither cat would touch it, but it was only one kind, and it was a while ago. I see a major shopping spree at our lovely local pet store in my near future... Yay!! Billie is doing well tonight. Still bouncing from last night's madness and not crashing too fast, so I think I get to sleep!
