Haven't got a back-up meter yet but have been thinking more about it. But - the thought of walking into the WalMart right now is a bit scary. Will feel a lot better once I get my 2nd Covid vaccine shot later this month..Well he cleared the bounce, but didn't make it back to green.
Did you manage to get a back up meter? or have you any more thoughts on that?
I get around this by going right when "high-risk" hours end (maybe you qualify for these hours? I think they are early Tuesday mornings), doing online ordering with store pickup, or do shipping. Relion Prime meter and strips will ship on next-day for free at $35 (so I'll get a ton of strips at once or I'll add some other necessary items to get to $35). I've also added strips to my grocery pickup - my Walmart has lanes outside and you just check-in on the app and the nice people drop the bags in your car. Hope that helps someWalMart shoppers are not very careful about masking/social distancing.

I took your advice and ordered the Relion meter and 50 strips and a case of FF. Should be delivered within a week.I get around this by going right when "high-risk" hours end (maybe you qualify for these hours? and if you don't need other items, there's a strange work-around where you can order the strips for a only a little bit more and hit the $35 minimum for the same number of stripsI'll add some other necessary items to get to $35
Cool! If you want, let me know when you get it as there will be a slight learning curve from the AT2. Also, the first time I did delivery of strips, I think a worker from my Walmart literally drove them to my houseI took your advice and ordered the Relion meter and 50 strips and a case of FF. I only found it strange because I was expecting UPS or FedEx to deliver and a Walmart worker showed up in his car Hope Wally slides down for you todayHugs to Sebastian too

I'm not yet sure if I'll totally switch to the Relion since I have about 8 boxes of PetSure strips to go through, but I'll definitely do comparison readings to see how Wally's numbers are on the Relion vs AT2. And - for sure, if he hypos, I'll use the Relion since the advice here is based on human meters....Cool! I also live very close to two Walmarts so perhaps this part of their delivery plan lol.
Oh yeah totally get that, just was offering help in case you wanted tips for getting any readings; I remember being frustrated at first because there was a little learning curve and some differences to get used to from the AT2 like no beeping from the meter so you need to watch the screen and the blood sucker spot (what is that calledI'm not yet sure if I'll totally switch to the Relion since I have about 8 boxes of PetSure strips to go through, but I'll definitely do comparison readings to see how Wally's numbers are on the Relion vs AT2. And be wary of comparing - you may go crazy but all of us that switched have to go crazy first
(when I fully switched to a human meter, I had to hide my AT2 from myself lol). Thanks so much. The PetSure strips suck blood from the end so at least that won't be an issue. Thanks for letting me know about the no beeping. And it was great to see him in the blue again, but now I worry that he'll continue to fall. I'll get a +2 and take it from there. Just tag me once your supplies comes if you want any help. If not, that's cool too
