Not a bad start...not sure if she's going to settle into this dose or not, though. She's still a little bouncy, and when she's on a good dose, she's definitely a bit flatter than this. But, I can't complain about a nice, low blue surf, ok, Trix? She actually did stick her toes in the lagoon at +4 last night, too....so at least we're seeing a little green.
The sun is out today, but I think it's too cold to melt anything...and everything is solid ice now. It does seem that the bulk of the ice and branches that were going to fall have fallen. As far as I know, my business partner still doesn't have power. They had to go to a hotel last night. They have 4 kitties, and I assume they weren't able to take them, so please send prayers that the kitties are OK and that the power comes back today. It's too cold to be without power for days on end.
It's my day off today. I think I'm going to try my hand at taping drywall!! If you recall, DH and I started working on a basement remodel over our Christmas vacation. We made a nice dent then, but knew the project would run into the spring once we went back to work. He put the last bit of drywall up last weekend, so it is ready for tape. I figure I can do the taping, so he can focus on the next phase(s) which I definitely can't do: the electrical work for light fixtures, and building the fireplace mantel. So, at the very least, it should be an interesting day!

. My dad is a carpenter (retired) but I got to help on lots of projects, taping isn't too bad...hope it goes good. Have a good day off, Amy! :razz:
