I'm so sorry about Ravan's seizure last night. I'm glad he's back to normal today. You're right we need to make the most of each moment we have with them. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

It is so important to remember that every moment counts! I am so glad to hear Ravan is back to himself.. poor boy. He is so lucky to have such a caring mama :)

I'm sorry Ravan had another seizure--they are so scary to see. This is probably pretty unlikely, but you mentioned that you were watching TV and that it always happens around the same place and time. Television can trigger seizures in some humans, particularly the flickering light in a dim room. I don't know if lights cause seizures in cats, but supposedly certain sounds can. ???

I've had two cats who had seizures and I don't think there were particular triggers. And like you said with Ravan, they were comfortable and calm when it would start. After most of the seizures I've seen, the kitty would be restless and stagger around for an hour or two and then would seem normal, maybe extra sleepy for several hours.

How often did your Cats have seizures? Did you give them anything for the seizures? What did you do with them when the seizure started? How old were your Kitties?

Ravan had his first seizure 10/24/ 2018. The days between seizures varies from 20 days to 175 days. He's only had 8 seizures in about 16 months. He did have one seizure early in the day ,in the kitchen after he drank water. All the rest were at night laying next to me with the TV on.

There isn't any pattern, that I can see, that triggers them. We watch TV every night at the same time. When the seizure starts I grab him & hold him tight in my lap . I talk quietly to him till he stops seizing & till he 's acting OK. This last seizure he was shaky & open mouth breathing for nearly 45 mins. He's never taken that long to get back to normal. It frightens me that they might get more frequent or worse.

Thanks for checking on us! :)
