Dear friends,
It’s been awhile since posting and in recent months some periods of touch-and-go with Civie Azalea’s health. She is one determined girl and today is the day we celebrate her 20th birthday. We go day-by-day and with the flow of whatever helps her to do and be whatever is in her heart to be.
Without your help and support throughout her eye and dental surgeries, and assorted ups and downs and ups again, we might not be honoring her in this way today. Thank you all including but certainly not limited to @Gill & George, @Jill & Alex (GA) @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey @Carol & Murphy @Bobbie And Bubba and @Gussie's mom and so many others. Thank you.
She started off this morning in gusto with what has become her favorite appetizer: liver shake! Thank you @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) and @Bobbie And Bubba for suggesting it and to fdmb for it being an available resource recipe on fdmb.
The clowder, Bella, Dancer and Spunky are doing well. Steve accidentally clipped off the top of a toe with nail clippers recently. It’s healing well but it was like pulling teeth to get him to ER. I’m bringing him to a podiatrist tomorrow for a proper nail clipping, and when the wound is fully healed, SS and I will be bringing him to have pedicures regularly from now on! I might even join in and have one, too!
I was laid up for awhile with flu and then a bout of diverticulitis that brought me to ER about a week after Steve’s “visit” with them. On the mend and we’re all looking forward to Springtime.
Sending heaps of vines and prayers to all in need including @LizzieInTexas Gizmo and @Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Rusty feel better vines.
With love and thanks from us all in Sootie-land,

Sina
Here are a couple of photos of the birthday girl: first one, settled in Steve’s lap comforting him and exuding healing and sympathy vines for her BFF on the day of his toe injury; the second photo: liver shake still a thumbs up! She’s looking a little scruffy bc her fur is growing back in and while she has regained some weight and is regaining muscle tone, she’s still on the tiny cat thin side.
