Yesterday followed the patten Neko seems to be settling into lately. Bounce/recover/down to blue during the day, then head down to green at night. Let's see if we can keep the bean up late! :lol: Along late night poking, however, I did get a visit from Julie, confirming a glimmer of hope for her punkerdoodle. :-D Happy dancing here! dancing_cat

Yet another rainy day in the PNW. It wasn't raining first thing so Neko did manage to go out and scrape up some pine needles for the bottom of her tummy. :lol: Today looks like a slowish slide down so we'll ease off on pokies a bit and let her sleep undisturbed. She is sleeping on the blue sofa after hugging her blue nanner for a while, so I'm hoping she's suitably inspired on her colour choices.

One thing I did want to comment on is that I have become a caliper convert. I just started a new box of syringes yesterday, and so far the majority of this batch of BD syringes has the zero line quite a ways from the hub. Doses would be almost .25 unit higher if I didn't use the calipers. :evil:

Interesting (and irritating :-x ) about the BDs, which I also use. I've resisted the caliper idea, mainly out of laziness and a desire
for no further complications at the moment :lol: I do adjust if the zero line seems way out of whack. Come to think of it, I don't recall
ever seeing another brand available (Costco, Shoppers, Pharma, and the grocery store pharms only seem to sell BD)

I hope Neko keeps sliding down for you today. I love using calipers. I buy a box of syringes at a time that has 10 packages of syringes. I've found the zero line to be different based on which package it came out of. I feel much better using the calipers and know I'm giving Furball a consistent dose now.

Hi Wendy, I hope Neko doesn't show greens when it's time for sleep, or what I mean, would be nice for safe greens. So you're a calipers convert. You just reminded me I need to order one. Mags is on a small dose, and I do notice the variances in the lines. Scritches to Neko and furbabies.

Nice pink to blue slide, as seems to be her daytime routine of late.

@Bruce - looks like she's doing the slide as requested. Some of the independent pharmacies can get in Monojects, but mostly BD has the monopoly. I like the idea of calipers also because DH sometimes gives the dose and that way his .25 mark is the same as mine. He bought a cheap pair for $15 at his hardware tools toy store.

@Carla - She kept on sliding so far. I've found the zero line different even within the packages of 10 syringes. :shock: I do agree on feeling better knowing the dose is consistent.

@Michelle - Sshhh, don't let Neko know I think she might have a pattern. I think she's reading the condo from the chair behind me now. :lol:

@Ann - I so agree on the safe greens at night. Heck, I'd be happy with a flat blue cycle. It's those 60's that make me nervous and lose sleep. As an acrocat, I can't leave regular fuds out for her as that can kick in her pancreas and bring her lower. Plus she'll eat it as soon as it's in her bowl. It's HC or nothing and sometimes I resort to that when I need to sleep.

@Mary - I like :mrgreen: :mrgreen: but 80's and 90's are my favorite at night. I also like blue surfs too. I'll get some sleep, just wish it was more than 5 hours.

Hey, Wendy -

Yes, I like using the calipers, too. It gives me a sense of confidence that the dose drawn up is as close to consistent as my eyes + bifocals + magnifier can get! :cool: Happy Neko has a pattern you can read...think she'll talk to Hershey about getting a pattern? :roll:

@Libby - Looks like Neko was reading her condo behind my back. Not so much predictable tonight, so I won't get her to talk to Hershey. :lol: I've got a magnifying glass and the calipers too. Much better than just eye-balling the dose.
