For today I proudly offer Mannie's special 10 hour energy coffee, AND triple shot Breve's made from Sun-Dried Sumatra Rasuna beans. and for my mocha fans: : a VENTI Quad Cimmamum and Frango Mint infused white mocha/mocha blend with Frango chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cimmamum whip garnished with cimmamum sprinkles, white chocolate curls and frango mocha drizzle... PRIMO! Only the best for all my customers....... OOOOOOOOOO! OH! Tea infusions too, by request. They is primo too! I SWEAR! Today: minty pomegranate!

Yesterday was RECOVERY day in MannieLand.,... and YELLOW day in Mannieland.... Both of which were very nice to see. Mannie had a horrid night the night before yesterday, BG-wise, all the way to the alpha zone. It was nice to see him recover from that so well yesterday, and have a nice steady yellow surf. I would have loved a blue one, but was glad to see the consistency of what he ended up surfing. Overall I feel that things are settling a bit for Mannie, after his recent P'titus.We are finding some good Numbers again, and patience will be required with all of this. I hope for a good day today, maybe some nice yellow and blues today too. Right Mannie? Appy continues to be good, LB continues to be good, ketones negative. Think blue Mannie, you can do it! All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D Now that I know we have an issue with potassium levels and muscle weakness etc I have been really watching how he moves etc. I can so see it now. Sometimes it takes effort for him to stand, and the movements are so slow. Here's hoping that the meds start to work soon. I read it can take 2-5 days. With Mannie it will probably take 5, which would be so typical for him. Other than than he seemed good yesterday. He felt good in the evening - enough so that he tried to sneak out onto the deck, way after sundown. :shock: He made it too - all the way out into the yard. Silly cat. So there I am flashlight in hand, hunting him down. :lol: I found him siting in the yard, sniffing into the breeze... :roll: Told him out after dark was a no no, and back in he had to come. "Meow" was the response, and back in we came... aiyee! Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. Appy was good: he ate well. CPC!!!!! :cool: 98% Close to normalcy in MannieLand, still working on that last 2%.... :-D Com'on Meds - work!

Have a great day everyone! I am back on DGS duty for the remainder of the week. It will be a swim day for Nicholas - WOO HOO! The POOL! After that I hope we can get out for a bit. We will let the day evolve for him after the pool. I will try and get to condos when I can, but probably not until late in the evening. There is just no time when he is here. I will miss you guys - and your furkids. Think blue think green kitties!

Hey everybody! What's up! I LUBS COOKIE DAY! I am so glad we did that yesterday! Hey - I heard today that the train into the Cascades is running today - a special run. You guys wanna go again? Today they are doing lunch and dinner! :shock: We gots to be there for that!! I so hope too that we can drive the train again, and blow the whistle and stuff. I had to promise the conductor though that this time we would not pull the "all-stop" cord... :shock: :roll: heeheehee... that was so fun last trip. OK - you guys in? Hey Mannie,

Well we only pulled the cord once! Sheesh! Why did everyone have to get so upset about it. It was there and tempting us and well, we pulled....Ok, I got dibs on driving! And I want to open all the windows, so I can feel the wind in my fur.....oooooooooh what fun. The wagon is loaded, with what I dunno, my bean said it was locked and loaded and ready to go....what a silly bean.

Hopefully, Ollie is ready today, after all we don't want him missing out on the fun...not to mention we have to have someone hanging from the smokestack don't we :-D .

Let's go for a ride. Oh and the bean says bring extra large tea today, she needs it.

Hi Michelle, nice report on Mannie. I wish him lots of healing vines for the potassium to help him. That is great with him making a venture into the yard, but scare for you at first not finding him. THX on DGS - we made the pool, but doubtful we will get anything else in - he is still napping! :shock: Must have worn him out in the water today. :lol: And you are cold in CA? wow! we are at 51. but the winds are up, and it's wet - so net affect is cold. :?

Great report for Mr. Mannie, sure do hope that the meds kick in soon. So cute that he wanted to be out in the dark, sniffing the breeze, and talked back when you said he had to come back in. Miss Smokey talks back to me a lot, I think it is so funny.

Hi Michelle & Mannie,

Sorry to get here so late, and sorry to see that string of high numbers. But it's only one day and things will get better soon. Fingers and paws crossed that the "Special K" will begin to do it's work before "day 5"! It is a good sign that Mannie wanted to go outside and enjoyed testing the air with his Jacobson's organ (I love it when they do that).

Hope that you and Nicholas had a good pool day today. Tell the "fish" that the theme of our Winter Carnival this year is "Under the Sea". Lots of fish costumes/hats walking the streets of Saranac Lake.

Mannie, I had to leave this morning before your espresso delivery, but it was there when I returned from the mountain and it was delicious. Uncle Edward enjoyed his at the usual time (I was lucky he didn't drink mine, too). Thank you!

Have a good evening and lets hope for good numbers tomorrow!

I'm on a numbers strike!!! Mannie is closing in on the last 2% and that's the best... His numbers will get better tomorrow. It's cute that he felt well enough to scoot outside.. but YIKES he dose it in the dark.. Been there, done that.. frightening! I'm not sure what went on today with those kittehs but Ollie came home humming "Chattanooga Choo Choo".

Mannie, ooooh love the coffee this morning.. I really needed it and it was WONDERFUL. THANKS

I love that Mannie snuck out!
During the summer I often have to get Ripley after dark ~ she likes to lay on the warm river rocks, and I have to use the flashlight to find those 2 glowing eyes.

Mannie! You look so small up there! If you come down, I'll share some crunchy shrimp with you!

I was going to say I'm glad to see/hear his numbers are settling down, but then I saw his PM cycle. But, he'll get back there! I hope the meds start helping sooner rather than later! Funny about him getting out. I can see him sitting there, not hiding, but being quiet so you don't see him right off...laughing to himself. :lol: Nice to hear some normalcy is returning; I know it does your heart good. :smile:

Paws crossed those new meds kick in soon - I so wonder if that's what you are starting to see. :-D Good to hear Mannie is interested in the great outdoors again but we have the same house rules. Nothing after dark. I've done the search by flashlight before too. :lol:

Hi Libby! Yupp, it's been an odd day - red daytime, the plunge night time. what to make of it all... And me too on the meds. yupp, his nighttime excursion was fun. I am sure he was laughing to himself: "She can't see me!" little stinker! And a big yes on the normalcy - it does feel good. The rest will all come too, back to 100% :-D

Hi Wendy - no kidding on the slow down. what a dive! 350 points in 4 hours.... :shock: :shock: I too wonder on the meds. the physical is a little better, and over all their are changes =- slight but they are there, yupp on the house rules - nothing after dark...
