Mannie received a dose reduction today: down to 2.25u F, from 2.50uF, due primarily to his 37 @ +2 PM cycle, and also since this was his 3rd post that was below 50 on the 2.50F dosage. I hope that I measured it correctly - :? and that he can hold the reduction. I took the full .25 reduction rather than just a shave due to the 37, and also because of below 50 scenario - it really seems like he is done with that dose. We shall see... Congrats Mannie! Well Done! cat_pet_icon We have bounced this morning - but that was so expected.

What a trooper last night - never complained once.... though he did go MIA @ +5.5 test. I knew where I'd find him - sure enough: on my bed, on my pillow, tucked in, ready to put his bean to bed. He knew we were done, it was the bean was skeptical, and put him though two more pokes. He was so funny last night - it got to be around the +3 test, and beyond - and after each one he'd retire to the nanner pile, wrap his paws around one or two, and snuggle up, chin resting on a third. :-D :-D He is his usual purry fury self this AM: breffis consumed with nary a crumb left, auto feeder ignored requiring bean service, nanners checked, napping in progress. They boy is tired, and just wants to sleep. and so he shall. All is well in MannieLand .

Have a great day everyone.

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418 ~ new dose

Good luck with the dose decrease. Mannie you are kicking butt!

Love the Nanner update. Its like his security blanket lol. So did his BG drop after you found him on the pillow or is his streak intact - that he knows when you should stop testing?

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418 ~ new dose

Mannie, you have a nice nap this morning. You've earned it!
Good luck with the dosecrease, Michelle. I hope it will hold and that it will enable some good, steady numbers in the greens and blues. Any hiking plans for today? DGS visits?
I'm looking forward to seeing my nephew. He sounds just like his father (my brother) on the phone. Haven't seen him in about 10 years. I was a teenager when he was born and now his sons are in college!!
Ella
Mannie, it sounds like a good day to chillax. See you later. My beans are going snowshoeing.
Rusty

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418 ~ new dose

I am so glad to read how well Mannie is doing. Good luck with that dosecrease! And it looks like that bounc is going to let you go out if you want. Unless of course Mannie decides he wants to practice his diving again. I hope you have a great day, Michelle.

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418 ~ new dose

Mannie is making such progress. Congrats again and good luck on the dosecrease.

Mannie! My bean is sleepy again today, so I'm bored. Chillaxin sounds good where we going? -- Tess

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413 ~ new dose

413 @ +2, down a little - YAY! Good though that it looks like it may be a slow descend, no diving. :-D Looks like I can get out for while this morning - would love to do the local trails, as always - but is really raining out there. Well maybe this afternoon then.

Hi Karrie - The streak is intact. I find him on the pillow after the dive. It's as if he knows when he is OK, and testing can stop. Happens more often than not. So true on the nanners.

Hi Ella - As do I - so hope the dose will hold. We were on it for a while, he did fairly well with it, until numbers started to rise. Since then I'd learned about the UTI, and since that us being dealt with, perhaps he can go back to this dose, and be able to hold it. Hope so! --- and I so hope your nephew makes it today - it would be so great to get together after all that time. :-D

Hi Ele - and thanks! I think I have a window here this morning - not too sure what I will do with it. I'd go to the shoreline here, a mini hike to get there - but it is pouring rain right now...  maybe I'll go anyways, and just get a little wet.

Hi Ann - thanks!! There is progress here - so good to see again. I sure do hope he can hold the reduction - even more so that I can measure it successfully - it's one I've always struggled with - those fat quarter units are killers... guess I had better practice.

Tess!! Rusty!! - I am SO THERE - a chillaxin' day.... but where should we go? It's pouring rain here today - anybody got any sun? Maybe a sunny beach where we could sip niptinis and run a mini grill? That sound so nice..... ~~ Mannie

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413 ~ new dose

Hi Michelle,
You and Mannie deserve a nice rest today. I was following your condo yesterday. Good luck with the new dose and measuring. A hike sounds like a good plan even if there is a little rain. Don't forget that white mocha coffee drink first! ~O)

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413 ~ new dose

been waiting to post this...with a reduction...now's the time!

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291 ~ new dose

291 @ +4 - whoa - we skipped the pinks, and went right to yellow. SWEET! - but slow down there bug guy - we have all day.... :-D

Hi Sienne - oh yes.... even the ~O) ~O) double espresso is not helping this morning. I wish I was a good napper, never have been, always wake up feeling worse than before I made the attempt. and thanks - I hope the new one will work for him. paws crossed. now if i can just measure it consistently.

Thanks Lisa!

Hi Celi - too funny! Love the photo. and that he does! :-D :-D

Hi Ann - that I did - coffee shop had me as their first customer this morning - it could not open up soon enough.  And more than likely I will go hike. It really does alot to revive me when I am wiped out. that and it is pretty there, even in the rain.

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291 ~ new dose

COngrats on the dose reduction!!! Yay Mannie...you are doing fantastic!!! I'm glad to see he's already clearing his bounce.

How wonderful that you got out for your coffee and I hope you get your walk in today. Sorry I pooped out on you last night. Super Bowl plans? Oh...forgot to ask you about your pond...do you have fish ???

Hey Mannie, Rusty, Tess....we have sun here today if anyone wants to chillax here???

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291 ~ new dose

Your hike and morning routines sound so refreshing. I just don't do enough of that anymore. When Tess lets me off the hook it's catching up w/ the garden and now it's repotting season, lots of bonsai to repot and soil to sift! that's exercise I guess. The downside of minimal winter is the weeds never stop growing.

Michelle. check out the Lev forum stickies. They have some good pix of micro dosing. I've been using the drop counting technique, on a higher dose draw to what you were confident with on the last dose and count the drops out to the new one. I draw what I think is the dose and then squeeze out the drops and count. If I'm right I draw the dose again. The Monoject syringes are being pretty consistent. You probably don't need to draw a second time, but w/ 3 drops I feel I need to check every time.

Mannie, it's sunny here and the beans are busy outside. We can take over the greenhouse! Really nice and warm! -- Tess

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291 ~ new dose

wow on all the newbies we have now - so many! I am glad though that they have found us - even more kitties that will be helped. :-D :-D

Hey Ann - Thanks for the LEV info - I will look at that. I remember reading about it in your condo, and at the time thought I really need to check it out. Now that we are on one of those doses I truly suck at - a fat quarter unit - it is on my "do it now" list. -- and yes on the morning routine - I do so much better when I set aside time to do these things, if only because they are refreshing and put a positive spin on things. I just feel better. don't have the bonsai, but do have the garden - and it is always a chore to keep it up, but that's ok - I enjoy it, fit it in when a i can, and have become a master at "speed gardening"  our downside?: MOSS! - I can never ever get rid of it - it is everywhere and grows faster than weeds. blech!

Hey Marjorie - nope on the fish in the pond - it is small, there used to be fish in it, until we moved in. The raccoons always get them, and well they cats weren't much better. FISH: nom nom nom... and bye bye fishies... -- and no problem on the poop out last night - i would have done the same if it were me. :-D i didn't last much longer anyways - knew he was on the rise and it is interesting with Mannie - he always heads to bed when he knows he is safe... he usually is right. I could have feed him well at that point and called it quits sooner than I did. but us beans still worry, so went a few more tests longer. -- no SB plans - just watching it on our own...

Gracie, Tess - let's do both!! Some at Tess's, some at Gracie's - sun will be sooooooo good - it is very wet here. See you guys soon! ~~ Mannie

GIMMEE! GIMMEE! Moss is next to impossible to grow here! and I need it for prepping bonsai for shows! I am so jealous! In fact I have to give a program on just that on Tuesday in SB. Uh, sorry Tess, another road trip.

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291, +7 383 ~ new dose

383 @ +7 - ouch, and back up we go.... level out there Mannie, OK?

think I shall take off for a trek to the shore - rain and all. It's not too bad - more of a mist than anything else...

oh haha on the moss!  what is it they say - it's always greener on the other side. I can ship it to you via the truckloads... though I'm not too sure if its the "desirable kind of moss". oh poor Tess! on the road again. bummer. maybe one of these days she'll like it? if she's like Mannie: not likely, and never.

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291, +7 383 ~ new dose

No no Mannie, you're going the wrong way.
Michelle, it's still/again, raining there? I don't know why I thought you were getting sunny days now.

It's a little warmer today, and every place is slush. It's up to my ankles in parking lots.
It was comical at the supermarkets; they were packed with last minute shoppers buying beer, pop, pizza, and every kind of junk food imaginable, for the Super Bowl parties.

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291, +7 383 ~ new dose

I Hope they both do very well on their new doses!! I was out in the Mist yesterday--I got totally soaked!

Re: 2/6 Mannie AMPS 418, +2 413, +4 291, +7 383 ~ new dose

Good luck with the new dose. Mannie and his routines are too funny! Hope you had a nice hike and it wasn't too cold.

Re: 2/6 Mannie +11 428, PMPS 366 ~ new dose

428 @ +11 ohmygod_smile
366 @ PMPS :YMSIGH:
one bouncy kitty.... it will be interesting to see what he does with the PM cycle - we are down from the +11. :-D

Hi Barb - rain yes, though today was more of a mist than rain. We get intermittent sunny days in the winter - sometimes they go for a week, sometimes a few days, sometimes we get two weeks solid rain. such a grab bag! enjoy that slush - ugh - not my fav thing... i have to laugh at the store - gotta have that bowl food!  It is the same here...

Hi Roni - no problemo - been there on occasion too. I hope our kitties can hold these reductions - always makes me nervous... silly, but it does.  and I like your NY winter... we do that too, though I am an outdoor junkie too, and have to have some of that too - even if I get soaked. silly.

Hi Georgia -thanks! I hope he does too. Hike was nice - very misty, but nice anyways - low tide at the shore so I could walk the shoreline for a bit - always enjoyable. Temp was OK - 45 I think, and no winds - so quite doable. :-D

MOONIE Me Too!!! I feel great - though I am sooooooooooooooooo tired of all those pokies. It's been ok today - my bean said something about bouncing, whatever that is, so I got less today. Fine by me! I don't like being a pin cushion, ya know? Let's get together tomorrow - OK? See you then ~~ Mannie

Re: 2/6 Mannie +11 428, PMPS 366 ~ new dose

Good luck with the dosecrease, Michelle. I know you get tired of hearing this, but pink is better than red, and he did come down from +11.
Tomorrow is a new day with new nicer numbers.

Re: 2/6 Mannie +11 428, PMPS 366 ~ new dose

Hi Michelle,
So you are close to the shore for your walks/hikes; sounds so nice. I'm about seven miles from the ocean or a little more but never seem to get there. I'm going to make it a point to take a walk. Good luck on the new dose.

Re: 2/6 Mannie PMPS 366, +2 266 ~ new dose

266 @ +2 - yay we are down some more... a little fast, but then again this is Mannie.

Hi Ann - yep - it is about a 2 mile walk from my front door to the shore itself, and not too bad. It's a short trail that takes you there, makes for a nice hike, and the shore is always a plus. We don't have sandy beaches here - lots or rocks  but that's ok too.

Hi barb - thanks! I hope he takes to it well. I think today is a bit of a bounce - he went really low really fast last night - so am not too surprised to see these reds and pinks. the reds always do me in  I hope tomorrow is better - I expect that it will be. thanks!!

Re: 2/6 Mannie PMPS 366, +2 266 ~ new dose

Rocks? That's not how I pictured your walks, Michelle. I saw you walking on a sandy beach with the foamy water lapping at your ankles. :-D

Re: 2/6 Mannie PMPS 366, +2 266 ~ new dose

       barb - i wish that we so.... ROCKS! I so like your version better! once in a while the tides bring some of that sandy stuff in, but darn it! it always washes it back out again. oh the joys of Washington state inland sound beaches - well at least where I live. SW and coastal Washington do have some nice ones...

Re: 2/6 Mannie PMPS 366, +2 266 ~ new dose

Congrats on the new dose, guys! Looks like you should be able to get some rest tonight! :-D

Hope you guys are having a great night!

Re: 2/6 Mannie PMPS 366, +2 266 ~ new dose

Michelle: thank you for your wonderful, supportive words. You are amazing and a dear friend....you're my role model :-D luv ya

Re: 2/6 Mannie PMPS 366, +2 266, +3.5 204 ~ new dose

204 @ +3.5. yay - down some more - maybe even blues later.. Sweet - what'd'ya say Mannie? A trip to the blues!

Hey Marjorie - oh no! not a role model - scary! nah - just kidding, but thank you, I know all too well exactly how you felt tonight. Have a great evening with your little one. and save me some dip.

Hi Christie - YES!, and I am so looking forward to being able to find my bed at a normal time - paws crossed, and anti-jinx! Been a great night - got to watch some great football, no matter who won, and suffered through the BEP: bad night for them IMHO. and YAY: almost bed time!!!!

178 @ +5.5 - BLUE!!! nicely done Mannie.

On that happy note, we are off to bed. Mannie and I are both so looking forward to that. I bet I find him on my pillow, tucked in for the night. He a;ways knows when the day is done.

NI NI all - see you bright and early at O-dark-thirty. :-D
