Luci is status quo - at least she's coasting along and being good for her not so well mama and DH. We're still in recovery mode around here with the coughing and hacking - and work is driving me absolutely mad with much aggravation to the point where I don't even answer the phone when they call..put it in writing! :facepalm:

I hope you all have a pleasant day and your kitties behave themselves!

Hi Paula, Yes, on Monday I took her to the vet for another eval - and she has to keep the cast on for another three weeks. He mentioned surgical options but also said if we could wait she's healing - it's just slow because of her diabetes. I'm opting to wait...no point in putting her through surgery unnecessarily. The cast doesn't seem to bother her as much as it bothers me (she tracks unsavory things out of her LB - so I have to stay on top of it constantly)...doesn't seem to be an issue for her as she doesn't worry about being sanitary :rolleyes: LOL!
 
Since you guys are still both under the weather its almost better that Luci is picking lemons. I’m sure she’ll be at the beach later though.

I hope you’re able to get feeing back to yourself soon :)
 
Sorry that you are all still not feeling the greatest...hope work calms down...... When you don't feel well everything else feels worse too.....with everything going on at your house-you are handling it like a pro.

Yes, I have to agree...I don't want to push her...so she can push me....I'm just dragging as it is...just going to take time to get back to our old selves around here...old people, ya know? :facepalm:

My boss is my best ali! Thank goodness!!! He replied to one of their many idiotic requests and told them essentially to leave us alone! Pencil pushers who want to have a lot of 'processes' and not get anything done drive us both crazy - I guess I have a short fuse right now too, since I'm not feeling well and I just will not engage in their ridiculous requests - the final straw was when they asked to set up weekly progress meetings - for a project which hasn't even started yet! That serves no purpose except to fulfill their own paperwork checkmarks on their 'to-do' lists - they wanted to discuss 'project hurdles' - the only hurdle I can think of at this time is THEM! Needless to say I was furious....where is the anger emoji on this thing...ha!! o_O

At least I haven't heard from any of them this morning! So perhaps that last email from my boss was enough to shut them up.

That is outrageous. I have told people before: ‘I’m not your secretary’ these are the types of meetings that if someone wants them, they can set them up theirselves, it sounds like they should have said: we would like to invite you to our progress meetings for updates on whatever.

Well, it's just outrageous that they want to set up meetings prematurely - like for THIS Friday - for my new work project - that hasn't even started yet due to THEIR UNFINISHED work - they have to set up servers, get them configured with the software and set up some other stuff...then hand them over to us to refactor our code - so far they're not done with their work - and we haven't seen the new servers that were promised to us by Jan 20ish...but that deadline passed...and now (and every week) the promise is that they'll be done by 'next week'.

That's why I think their idiots for sending me meeting invites to meet with them to discuss hurdles - how ridiculous? Since the only hurdles so far appear to be on their side of the wall - I have no hurdles! I'm in waiting mode....the new project manager just likes to write reports and prepare documentation 'for upper management' - I find that irritating beyond belief...when I don't get to see these reports - and obviously the only valid thing she can report to upper management at this time is their lack of ability to 'bring it home' so we can get started on our work... I don't want to be bothered with their non-sense....grrrr...this too shall pass...and in the meantime I have plenty to do :)
 
I hate to hear that u all are STILL sick, hopefully a full recovery soon and to Miss Luci, glad shes being good

I’m glad that your manager also sees that this is nonsense. I think the only thing worse than someone asking for premature work is a boss who is a ‘yes man’

this is not exactly in line with what you’re experiencing but someone sent me a link to this video the other day and I thought anyone who works in an office or with clients would definitely understand and find the video funny :)

OMG! That's too much what they appear to do/ask/want...this was one of the comments below - I laughed so hard!!!

My team had a saying - We the unknown, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much with so little for so long we can now do anything with nothing...
